Entry level job.. Help! Help!

Published

Hello to all fellow Nurses.....I am a new RN. Due to personal reasons I just got my license 4 months ago, but I graduated 2006. Until now I haven't found any job yet. The web application is just so slow, and not even a 100% guaranteed that you will be picked. :( I am desperate for any placement just to gain experience, since most of the facilities I applied to required at least a year. How will I be able to get that experience if none of the hospitals nor facilities here in Southern California hires inexperienced nurses. DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS???? :)

Nursing Job hunting is still really bad. Here in California most hospital, agencies, any health care jobs need at least a year of experience. It is very very discouraging actually. I'm back working in retails instead just to divert any frustrations and discouragement I have in this nursing rejection, but keeping my fingers crossed that I get a really good placement in God's will.

I kind of lost hope until I met a doctor who was my customer. When I was ringing him up I saw in his credit the initial DR. so I asked if he's a doctor, and he said yes. I said I am an RN who's struggling for a job since last year. He was so confused in everything I said more on disbelief since he knew that there is a scarcity of nurses all over US. He gave me his number and wanted me to contact him after his 2-week overseas trip. I thought he was kidding until I searched his name in the internet and found out that he's an outstanding doctor and multi-awarded orthopedic doctor here in SoCal. I was so happy in what I knew yet still skeptical about it. I just need to wait for days and find out if he can offer me a nursing job in his clinic. It is a big clinic who offers multi-healthcare services. ^^

I'll continue to be very optimistic and pray that the right job will soon come to me. ^^ WISH ME LUCK GUYS!!!! ^^

I wish you the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
