Hello all
I am one month into orientation at a busy ED. Pediatrics scares me, not sure why but it is a big fear of mine - I have kids of my own but have never worked pediatrics so I find it a little scary. I am taking PALs next month. My hospital offers TNCC and I asked about ENPC and was told they didn't offer it since it is basically the same as PALS. There is a course available in April an hour away - I would be paying out of pocket for it and taking PTO days to do it - so I wanted to see if anyone who took both PALS and ENPC thought it was worthwhile? If it is I am happy to pay for it and drive there but if it really is very similar to PALS I might give it a miss.
Thank you

Yes, well worth it. More in depth than PALS, direct application to your job. It will also help you when you take TNCC.

ENPC is all about intervening before you need to use PALS. Fix 'em fast before they crash.

Don't you need at least 1,000 working pediatric hours prior to taking that class?

ENPC is worth every penny. I do not believe there is a hour requirement for ENPC but there is 1000 hour requirement to sit for the CPEN.
