Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any experience with this class good or bad you can share. I'm thinking about taking this course online and not really sure if it's a good move. My goal is to bump my current grade which is an B to an A to improve my GPA. If you have any information please share.
Thanks

Hi there,
I have taken English 1 and 2 and got a B in both. English 2 was more difficult for me. There was alot of writing essays and learning proper format, etc...I am suprised you want to take it over since you got a B. I think that is great. I took both classes online and did fine. Everything was explained that I was able to understand. I attend a community college. Good luck! :wink2:

Thank you for your reply Java Mama. Trust me I thought having a B in English was ok as well, but my advisor told me different. She suggested taking it over to get an A because the credit hours for that class is 5. I have other options as well psychology and math. I just figured the english would be the easiest out of the three because I have to do it online. If anyone else has any input please share, I need to make a decision this week end.

Never assume an online class is going to be easier. The only easier part of online classes is if you're an off campus commuter then it will save you time and money getting to and from class especially if you also have a full time job and/or young children, etc. The course work itself isn't any easier - in fact the online classes I've taken have been harder! With that said a good english teacher should tell you exactly what elements should be included in assignments and if you follow the "checklist" then you'll get a good grade. Read your feedback carefully and add it to your "checklist". If the teacher isn't clear then make use of your campus tutoring center and you will do fine.
Hi Apgar10,
English 191 is Composition and Rhetoric. I currently attend a technical college in Georgia. I went ahead and registered for the the class today, but if anyone else has any feedback it would be greatly appreciated.
