I just got engaged, but for now have a "stand in" ring so my fiance can save up and get me a "better" (read: more expensive -- it's what he wants and I'm fine with that lol) one. Well I've been looking, and I found one that is absolutely gorgeous, but it's morganite which some people say is too soft for a job such as nursing where you use your hands a lot. Opinions?
I wear a silicon QALO ring when at work. It will give if caught on something and will not conduct electricity (my husband has one and this quality helps to save fingers). Anyways, they come in fun colors and sometimes are on a special for 2 for about $15, if you wish to color coordinate. I chose this as a work alternative after the blue-light germ test at work. It showed so many organisms (simulated) left on rings and in between stones after hand washing, that I was spooked enough to not wear a metal/stoned band at all.

I should have specified. I'm afraid I will lose it at work.
I wear it on my nights off. 😜
