Enforcement Review TX BON

Nurses Criminal

Published

I am graduating nursing school in December. I submitted a declaratory form with all supporting documents of dismissal and paid to register for the NCLEX...then I received a letter a few days later from the TX BON. It stated that I had to pay $150 for my case to be reviewed by the enforcement department. I took the money order to the offices and handed it in myself. The woman there said it would take a minimum of four months to review the case. I am sick because I wanted to start my job and the place I want to work will start new grads off in Feb. If the four month time frame, (at the minimum), is true...I guess I will just have to wait. :crying2:

The charges were for Violating a Protective Order, compliments of a rocky marriage to say the least. They were misdemeanors and they were dismissed. I am just praying that the process maybe wont take so long. Has anyone ever experienced a more favorable time frame with the TX BON for enforcement review? :uhoh3:

Hi guys! I'm new to this thread and I'm in the same boat. I have an MIP when I was 19 Im 25 now but I been waiting to hear back from them and nothing. From my understanding my charge is not not bad does anyone know if I would have to pay 150$. I dont see why it would have to go to enforcement. DOes anyone else have something similar or information about this procedure? ? I'm getting really stressed out about this.I only have one more week if not then I have to give up my spot:(

Ayala3,

I wouldn't think your case would get sent to enforcement as long as you provide necessary document (court/classes attended/etc) stating that this has been cleared by the court. I have 2 MIC's and 1 MIP (With all necessary paperwork) on my record and my case got sent to Enforcement. I'm hoping to hear back from them soon. This may put me behind a semester if this isn't resolved before clinicals.

So I checked my status of application today for RN endorsement and it states that I was submitted for permanent license. Does anyone know if this is another long process or am I still under review ?

How do you know if you get recommendations? I have not recieved any letter but my status application says I was submitted for permanent license. And what exactly does that mean? Are they giving me a license? I did not have to pay 150 and I was in enforcement for 2 months soil 28 to June 27. Started entire process in January 2014. Any input would be greatful, thanks

Okay do do you get submitted for permanent license while waiting to get your recommendations? Or if you get submitted for permanent license does it mean you don't have any recommendations? I haven't receive a letter in the mail but my status online says I was submitted for permanent license.

Today I Checked my status and everything disappeared so I entered my info again and still nothing. So I said let me verify license, and what do you know I got my permanent license! Finally I can go back to work. Still haven't received anything in the mail, but ooh well. It took 7 whole months to get a license, really! I applied for endorsement in January , got sent to enforcement in April and got license June 30. No fine, no discipline. My God is an awesome God!

I too was legally naive and did not do the declaratory order. Now I'm 2 1/2 months away from graduating. Trying to find out exactly what to say about a Class A misdemeanor theft. Hoping that all my court documents and character references are enough. Finding out that I may not be able to get my license would be awful. Hoping for the best

Hi guys, I was asked to submit a DO, so I did, it was submitted Jan 13th. I received a repsonce right away on Jan 26th saying that my case was being moved to enforcement review, I paid the $150 and sent it in on Feb 3. My questions are: If it was out of initial review in two weeks instead of 30 days, could it be out of enforcement sooner as well? And if i didn't list traffic tickets will i be dinged for that?

My case was not in the initial review long either but not sure if that effects the time length of being in enforcement. I didn't have to pay the $150 and I'm still in review since 1/9 so I can't give much advice. Did your traffic tickets turn into warrants?

Hi guys, thought I would comment on the whole enforcement review as I'm experiencing it. I'm 53 and when I was in my 20s I got in a ton of trouble for possession of a stolen vehicle (we called it joy riding) I caught 3felonies plus it happened again a couple years later, that's right 3 more felonies. I got my dumb *** act together and actually became firefighter paramedic. Any way I got sent to enforcement + $150. Whole process started Nov 2014 with my D.O. Sent to enforcement Jan 2015 and I just received a certified letter from TBON saying that I am conditionally eligible to sit for NCLEX-RN and that I will be receiving a agreed eligibility order and once it's approved I'm good to go.

So to y'all that are stressing out about bounced checks etc...... I wouldn't sweat it too much if I were you, I thought for sure I'd get refused out of hand but I'm now one piece of paper away from starting my ADN program this fall. Hang in there guy's.

Okay, I just found out today my case is going to review. I'm supposed to graduate my BSN program May 16, 2015. From reading your post, there is hope that the enforcement may be less than 90 days, right???

I was sent to enforcement and I'm stressing out because I don't want to lose my spot, I start in June but I have to be cleared by May 21st, this is my second year applying and I am praying this doesn't take as long as everyone is saying. I received a DWI in 2004, an driving with an invalid license in 2006, the 2006 charge was dismissed but still showed up on my background check. Anyone know if it is taking the entire 90 days to be cleared.
