I am graduating nursing school in December. I submitted a declaratory form with all supporting documents of dismissal and paid to register for the NCLEX...then I received a letter a few days later from the TX BON. It stated that I had to pay $150 for my case to be reviewed by the enforcement department. I took the money order to the offices and handed it in myself. The woman there said it would take a minimum of four months to review the case. I am sick because I wanted to start my job and the place I want to work will start new grads off in Feb. If the four month time frame, (at the minimum), is true...I guess I will just have to wait.
The charges were for Violating a Protective Order, compliments of a rocky marriage to say the least. They were misdemeanors and they were dismissed. I am just praying that the process maybe wont take so long. Has anyone ever experienced a more favorable time frame with the TX BON for enforcement review?
It's been 11 years, I provided all necessary paperwork, I'm just curious what else do you need to investigate considering I've have not been in any trouble since aside from traffic tickets. I am supposed to call back May 14, to talk to my investigator, she said she will have alot more info for me at this time, keeping my fingers crossed.
Just figured I would update my situation
Febuary 28 sent declaratory order in
March 2 sent to enforcement requested $150.00
Sent $150.00 in March 3
Money received on March 9th
Investigator received my file on March 13
Case completed and approved to sit for the NCLEX on April 24th
So I am very relieved and so excited that this whole ordeal is over !!!! So word of encouragement it can be approved sooner.
I graduated nursing school 12/2014. After applying for nclex in 12/2014, background came back positive for theft under 500. This was a charge i got as a minor. Anyway I sent the requested documents on 1/9 next day mail. On 2/5 I received a letter stating they were transferring my case to enforcement. March I received a letter a letter stating I was eligible to sit for nclex under certain terms and conditions, however I didn't receive theses terms and conditions until 5/1. I notarized the form stating I accepted the terms and conditions and sent it back on 5/4 next day mail. It is now 5/20 and I havent heard anything or received my ATT. Does anyone have a clue to how much longer this will take?
Hello everyone? I submitted a declaratory order to the Texas BON July 1. I received a letter stating that my case is unable to be resolved in their Operations Department and my case will be transferred to the Enforcement Department for a resolution. I paid the $150. When I was young, I got in a lot of trouble. I was charged with receiving stolen property, theft, common assault, destruction of property, resisting arrest, trespassing, petty larceny and lying by giving fiction information. As you can see, I have got into a lot of trouble when i was much younger. The receiving stolen property, destruction of property and trespassing cases where all dismissed and closed. The theft and giving false information, I was charged class B misdemeanors for those two. The common assault I was charged a class C misdemeanor. The remaining charges were just city ordinance charges. I contacted the court and they said that they were lessor than the misdemeanor charges. I went and got my own FBI report and found that only 4 showed up on my FBI check. All my charges are over 10 year old. I have not been in trouble ever since. I been CNA/CMA for about 8 years. I been in school about 4 1/2 years. I have done volunteer work for 4 years at family shelters and public schools and animal shelters. I was wondering if anyone on here, that has a background that consist of numerous misdemeanors that was approve to sit for the RN-NCLEX. Thanks

Most likely it will take 90 days.. Sorry. I know it sucks. Mine was a theft under 50 and it took 90 days just to get a response back.. The process it still ongoing.
