Hello. I have recently passed the NCLEX in India. I have received a New Mexico license by examination. I am moving to California and wanted to get a license through endorsement in CA and also a temporary license.
The form indicates that I need to get my NCLEX verified from the board in which I took it. Nursys has told me that all I need to do is get my new mexico license verified and I should receive my temp license. However, I called the board and received that they will have to mail something to New Mexico Board to get an unopened verification of my NCLEX.
Has anyone faced this before? Should I need not worry since Nursys should verify everything? Thanks for helping me.

just the perfect opportunity to address the same concern i have as well.
i heard it only takes a day for CA BON to process such endorsement request. though i have yet heard this from someone who has undergone such setup.
planning to take NY exam then endorse later on to CA.

Just went through this. Basically, Nursys.com verifies everything and you can get a temp license that day. Same facts as the first post.

Nursys will verify, but the biggest issue is that nothing can be fianlized, until you have a SSN#. If everything is in Nursys, you really do not even need the tempoary license, you cannot work until you get the SSN#, and it only takes a few days for you to receive the permanent license after you give them the SSN#.
Why waste the money?
Big difference that most are missing out here on is that as a foreign nurse, there are other things that must be done before you can begin work, so it is not like just moving and starting work the next day. I would not waste the money for the temporary.
