Endorsement from New Mex to Canada (LPN)

Published

I am a RN in Philippines and have recently passed NCLEX, New Mexico - BON. I already have an employer in Canada, and my agency told me that I can apply my license in US for an endorsement in Canada, so I don't have to take CLPNA.

For 3 days, I have tried to do a research about this and even contacted NM and Alberta, Canada as well, but I haven't heard from them til now.

Please help me where I can find the requirements and what is the process for this.

Thanks!

You know I dont think you are being told the truth I think you still need to do the Canadian Nursing exam. I know RN's from the UK who had NCLex but still had to do exam, I am sure they will be on later to tell you more

What a load of cobblers. NCLEX can not be endorsed to Canada in the same way the CRNE can not be endorsed to the US. Also why are they telling you LPN when you are a RN. You will need to apply to the province nursing body you want to work in and be assessed, they will say what you are eligibly for and at some stage you will have to sit the Canadian exam. Be aware that one province has fetched RN's from the Philippines but their training was actually evaluated to LP and that is how they are working but I doubt that will be allowed again. You have to meet the province requirements for foreign trained nurse even if you already have a employer in Canada and at some stage sit and pass the exam no way to avoid it

our RN curriculum in philippines only qualifies as LPN in alberta, canada after taking & passing the 2 subjects required and CLPNA. this is what our agency tells us, that we can endorse our US license for CLPNA. i'm planning to do this if possible, because i already submitted my papers to CARNA for evaluation.. hoping that when i get there, i can be considered as GN & be given a temporary permit to work as RN after i sit for CRNE.

is this possible? help..

Only thing you can do is see what the province say when they assess your paperwork. I highly doubt the practice of endorsing NCLEX will continue as not fair on everyone else especially the Canadians. The Canadian exam is nothing like the NCLEX
