Endorsement for California license

Published

Hello, I just recently pass my RN-New Mexico license last Oct 2016. I'm currently residing in California working as an LVN. I had applied licensure by examination for CA last 2014 and still have a pending 3-year period to comply with my deficient subjects: MS and OB which will expire next year January 2018. Now, I'm in delimma either to try my luck in applying licensure by endorsement or just go to school to comply my requirements but I'm running out of time.

I need people's opinion maybe anybody have the same situation as mine.

If you have educational deficiencies, applying by endorsement will not help you. California will require your school transcripts- even if you're licensed in another state.

If you were ineligible for licensing by examination in CA and have yet to remedy your academic deficiencies you remain ineligible for a nursing license by endorsement. You could always move to NM to work as a nurse

The OP is already a nurse in CA as he/she is an LVN just not an RN in CA. OP I would practice as an RN in NM rather than as an LVN in CA. Maybe you could endorse out of NM to another state as an RN other than CA. It's too crowded there anyway haha.
