Hi everyone! I'm planning to apply in SLMC-e.rod, though I heard that they will start the hiring process this coming September.. Do you have any idea on how many exams and interviews you will undergo before they will accept you for the training? Let me share with you the requirements needed: resume, photocopy of PRC license, board rating, board rating certificate, class ranking, GWA, TOR, diploma, and 2 pcs. 2x2 pics (white background)..
Your replies would be greatly appreciated..
Godbless! :wink2:
Hi colleagues, I just want to share my experience applying for SLMC. Ms. Meg (the HR boss in blue) told our group last Wed that the training will be starting next week and during that time they only need to fill 20 slots more. But she assured us that we need not worry since another batch will start on March.
I had my exams last monday, Jan 30 at 1pm. After taking the exam, 4 of us were asked to go to Center for Clinical Advancement and were informed that we are scheduled for initial interview the next day. To why were the 4 of us got chosen to stay behind, Im still not quite sure but the next day we saw some notes, probably left after a meeting, on the board in Interview room 1.
As how we have interpreted the notes the hiring or selecting of applicants goes like this..
1). WE( with experience)
1.BR = 80+
2.weighted ave=2.0+
2) NE (No experiecence)
1.BR= 80+
2.weighted ave=2.0+
3.CUM LAUDE/HONOR/SPECIAL AWARD :bowingpur
and if you have experience they still have prioritization...
1. as STAFF nurse
2. as VOLUNTEER
3. paid TRAINING
But i am not saying that they solely base their hiring process on this, since one of the people i am with doesn't have 80+ average and graduated without any special awards.
what does external training mean? how far have you gone in the application process? thanks
Hi eensyweensy
I received an invitation for the skills validation 6 days after taking the exams. After the skills validation in the afternoon, I received the text message that same night inviting me for an initial interview the next day. Then counted 3 more days after the initial interview before receiving a call from DCA for the final interview. The results of our final interview (together with the other applicants interviewed in the morning) were released around lunch time that same day.
A friend of mine took the exam last January ** and is just scheduled for the skills validation this coming Monday.
Just try to prepare yourself while waiting for the results. They usually notify you a day before so try studying now because who knows when they'll text you. It's better to be prepared than be caught off guard.
How's your application?
