Hi everyone! I'm planning to apply in SLMC-e.rod, though I heard that they will start the hiring process this coming September.. Do you have any idea on how many exams and interviews you will undergo before they will accept you for the training? Let me share with you the requirements needed: resume, photocopy of PRC license, board rating, board rating certificate, class ranking, GWA, TOR, diploma, and 2 pcs. 2x2 pics (white background)..

Your replies would be greatly appreciated..

Godbless! :wink2:

hi there manyeeka, we happen to be on the same boat. i also got confused on where they got my number since i havent sent my resume yet. i was planning to got to st. lukes on that same day to pass my requirements anyway. A co-examinee told me that it might have been the jobpost on jobstreet with a confidential company name. turns out i applied for it last january 17....hahai would like to ask what's the usual stuffs covered during the initial interview and does the initial interview and skills test occur on the same day or you will have another schedule for that?? thanks!!

i just figured that i really applied via jobstreet. :) the guy who proctored us said that they posted an ad on jobstreet. i'm just wondering then that why i was not aware that i applied.anyway, that doesn't matter anymore.

the exam is composed of three parts:

a.) iq exam composed of 80 items for 15 mins

b.)nursing exam composed of 100 items

c.) psychologic exam or personality exam

the proctor said we will receive a text message in two weeks if we passed and will go to the next step.

Hi katakamotenars

To answer some of your queries, the scheduling for Skills validation and interviews (whether initial or final) differs from each candidate/ applicant. Some of your batch mates during the exam (given that you and they passed) may not be on the same schedule with you for the skills validation. That is also the same when you are for the initial interview. You may not be together with the applicants you were with at the skills validation.

I would really like to help regarding the topics for the interviews and skills validation, but that would not be too far from cheating right? It defeats the purpose of the screening. I know everybody wants to be a part of this prestigious institution so bad (even I), so doing everything for this is not unusual. I mean no offense.

Anyway, just a tip, do a back reading from page 1 of this thread. You might find bits of information you are looking for.

Another helpful tip: Please be prepared for the results of the exams (whether they may be desirable or not)

- Ask God to provide you with a brave heart whatever the result may be. That can lessen the chances for disappointment.

- Prepare for the skills validation even the results of the exams aren't out yet. Who knows when you'll be asked to show up for this validation.

- Be confident, even you are so jittery inside, during an interview. Feeling so nervous and letting it show can make an applicant look dumb. Sorry for the term. This is based on my own experience. I felt like I looked dumb because I'm so sweaty and all. Can not stay still and some poor posture to add up. However, still managed to nail it. Just don't follow the "sweaty stuff".

I am praying that all hopefuls (including you and I, as well as the other applicants to this institution) will make it through. I'm praying for our success. God bless us. =)

Anyone here who can give me an info on the training after you pass all the interviews??

I just got a text message that i will be having my exam but having read all the info on this thread lead me to the conclusion that i'm still weighing if i can afford having another training. I'm currently working in a different field since I have just finished a previous training. I'm still in the process of saving up for another one but I didn't expect they would contact me now.

My questions are as follows:

1. How many days a week do you have duty?

2. How many hours per shift?

3. Do they train you for only one area?

I'm looking ahead on this (if ever I pass the screening) since I have to budget. I want to be in this institution but going there without money may just have me ending up quitting midway. Any info would be much appreciated :)

One last thing, how do i get to the "college of medicine" when i arrive at SLMC QC?

Hi bunnyrn7

Can't really answer your questions since I haven't started the training proper yet. What I can answer though is the way to the College of Medicine. If you're coming from the entrance of the main hospital building, take the street at your right straight ahead(when facing the hospital's main entrance). Then turn left, you'll see the nearest and tallest building at the left side of the road, way past the food stalls. That's the building of the College of Medicine.

Hi Bknuckles_91

Hi purp

What do you mean "you had yours last Friday"? Is it the exam or the interview?

I took the exams last 3rd week of January, then skills validation a few days after. Then a few days again before being invited for the initial interview. Same goes for the final interview, a few days interval.

Currently completing some paper works required by the HR department.

Hi cheezy_curls

I also tried submitting at Global City last 1st week of January. Haven't they told you that they have no vacancies as of that moment? That's the first thing the HR clerk told me. She noted though that I can leave my resume for future reference.
