Emory New RN Residency Fall 2015

Published

Hey, so I haven't seen any new threads pop up about the next round of Emory's new grad residencies. Has anyone applied recently/heard anything? I'm scheduled for an interview at Midtown on the 30th, but I'd like to talk to/hear from others going through the process or those who have already been through it. Anyone know if the interview is just the group, or if you pass the group interview and then have to come back for another one-on-one? I'm from out-of-state.

According to Amanda, there are a total of 10 positions being offered for Women's Services, 4 of which are L&D. So I don't know if that means the remaining 6 are Mother/Baby. The CNS came over to meet me in my interview and she asked if I also had any interest in antepartum/GYN, so I don't know if they're offering separate positions for that as well. Hope that helps!

Well. Crap. Lol now I'm even more nervous. But you should be even prouder of yourself to be one of those 10!!!

Yes, thank you :)

Thank you so much! Don't be nervous! I'm sure they're taking their time making the offers. She said they aren't sending the formal letters out until Thursday, so maybe they're spreading out the calls? Keep the faith! If I get anymore information, I'll update you!

UDs are willing to hire more, but the budget is tie, if CNS asks you an alternative position, just say yes, and you can always switch after you are in

Oh it wasn't an offer for an alternative position..I think she was just asking out of curiosity. I got the position with Mother/Baby, which is what I was interviewing for. The director interviewed me and just called the CNS over to introduce me and to show her my portfolio because she seemed to like it. But yes, I think that's a good piece of advice for others - take the offer! :-)

I'm beginning to feel like im not going to get an offer at all...

Well, if all else fails, I have Northside to fall back on. I just really really want Emory! :) Good luck to the rest of you who haven't heard anything yet! Maybe the four or five I've heard from on hear that are trying for women's services will make up part of those 10? :whistling:

What position are you interviewing for at northside? I'm looking at them as well... Emory was my top choice, though

I'm lined up for another women's services interview with them later this month if Emory doesn't work out; preferably L&D or mother/baby again. What unit are you looking at?

Don't give up hope! I'll keep everyone on here in my thoughts! Just from the sounds of your posts, I can tell it would be wonderful to work with all of you!

I know they're done hiring for l/d, but they're about to start mother/baby. I'm looking at med/surg for them, just because I really want l/d and not mother/baby. Good luck to you!! Really hope we all meet eventually :)

Emory ? Or Northside?
