  1. I don't think she created it because she needed someone else's name to make the group (i.e. another member, not just herself). I had to do that too when I created mine, so I just added my mom haha..then removed her once the first Emory person requested an add.
  2. Hi! It's just above your post in my last comment :-)
  3. Hi! Well someone already requested to be added to the group, so I have no idea why it's not searchable for others? The only reason I would think it may not have come up is if maybe you added the quotation marks when you typed it in? I even searched it from my mom's account and it was the first one that popped up lol. I'm private on FB, so even if you search for my name it wouldn't come up. I just changed the group to public, but I'll change it back to closed as soon as we get enough people added. I customized a web address for it, so maybe this will make it easier to find: https://www.facebook.com/groups/emorynurseresidencysummer2015/ Let me know! If none of that works, we can give yours a try, PAUA! I'll just change my privacy settings and give you my name.
  4. Ok I'll change it to public. But even closed, it should still be searchable..that's odd because someone already requested to be added to the group, so they had to have found it somehow lol.
  5. That's strange..it's a closed group, but it should still be searchable. Did you type in the exact name? I can change it to public just to be safe if you still can't find it!
  6. Hi PAUA, I got your friend request! I'm new to this site too, so I don't know how to chat - based on other posts I've seen, you have to be a member for a while (or have posted a certain number of comments) before you "earn that privilege." But I've created a Facebook group, so you and anyone else who got an offer is welcome to join! I named it "Emory New Grad Nurse Residency - Summer 2015." We can chat on there :-) So excited to meet you and everyone else!
  7. Don't give up hope! I'll keep everyone on here in my thoughts! Just from the sounds of your posts, I can tell it would be wonderful to work with all of you!
  8. Oh it wasn't an offer for an alternative position..I think she was just asking out of curiosity. I got the position with Mother/Baby, which is what I was interviewing for. The director interviewed me and just called the CNS over to introduce me and to show her my portfolio because she seemed to like it. But yes, I think that's a good piece of advice for others - take the offer! :-)
  9. Thank you so much! Don't be nervous! I'm sure they're taking their time making the offers. She said they aren't sending the formal letters out until Thursday, so maybe they're spreading out the calls? Keep the faith! If I get anymore information, I'll update you!
  10. According to Amanda, there are a total of 10 positions being offered for Women's Services, 4 of which are L&D. So I don't know if that means the remaining 6 are Mother/Baby. The CNS came over to meet me in my interview and she asked if I also had any interest in antepartum/GYN, so I don't know if they're offering separate positions for that as well. Hope that helps!
  11. Thank you! Yes, Amanda made the offer, so it doesn't sound like managers are making the calls (at least not for Women's Services).
  12. Hi, sorry, my email only notifies me every once in a while when there's an update on this forum. But yes, it was about 8:00am eastern time. Then after calling and emailing Amanda Kranz, I got a call back at about 11:00am eastern time. And the offer came from Ms. Kranz, not the managers, so expect to talk to someone from HR.
  13. Got an offer with Mother/Baby at Midtown!!! If anyone else gets an offer for that unit, let me know! It would be great to start connecting with those I'll be working with! Has anyone started a facebook group? If not, I can! Hang in there everyone! I'm sure you're all going to get calls! :-)
  14. I had a missed call this morning from Emory and a voicemail from Amanda Kranz, one of the recruiters. She said she was calling to follow up about the interview, and I have an email with links to pre-employment forms (but it looks like the ones we alreay filled out prior to the interview). Hopefully these are good signs?? It was 5:00am my time when she called so I was still sleeping. I called her back and left a voicemail and emailed her but haven't heard anything yet. I'll keep you all posted as to whether I get good news or bad news, but regardless, they're starting calls! Keep your phones close and on loud! Good luck everyone!!
  15. I interviewed for Mother/Baby too! Best of luck to you! The waiting is killing me
