Emory Fall 09

Is anyone applying or have applied to Emory for the Fall 09 Semester. I have read in other threads from a couple of years ago that if you apply in November that you can here if you are accepted in January. Is that true? I have applied for the second degree program.

I just checked on OPUS (as I have been doing continuously since last week!)...anyway - I now have something under my admissions check list - they have made a record that I'm currently taking AP II this semester..... my application packet was missing one item - so I had to have another transcript mailed... so I'm hoping that this means good news....nothing else on my OPUS account has changed...

I know that they meet on Tuesdays, and my application was delayed being reviewed because of that lost transcript.... still crossing my fingers!!!

Would be honored to be a student with such a talanted bunch of people already admitted!

I was accepted for the family nurse midwifery program! I am super excited, and think my decision will be between Emory and Yale. Any input??

Did anyone else apply for the Fuld Fellowship? If so, have you heard anything back? I got a call today saying I have been chosen as a finalist and have to go down for an interview, and was thinking it might be nice to meet up with some of the other applicants the night before rather than sit in a big hotel room by myself all night! Let me know. :)

Megan, didn't you get into Columbia too? Were you going to go to visiting day this weekend? Congrats on your acceptances and good luck with the fellowship!

I did get into Columbia too, but I can't make it to visiting day this weekend... 3 exams on Monday. :( I wish I could though because I've never been to NYC, so it seems like it might be too big and crazy for me (a small town Michigan girl) and Columbia is lower on my list because of that. Ah well... Congrats to you too on your acceptance to Columbia, and have fun this weekend!

I just wanted to know if anyone had heard anything about the status of their Woodruff Scholarship application. They said we were supposed to hear something this week.

I haven't heard anything either. Another waiting time. Its frustrating but I hope we hear something soon. I just want to know my total financial aid package so I start planning towards financing these two years. Once again the waiting is killing me.

Was it through snail mail or e-mail? I wish this scholarship would be given to more people instead of just one person out of 100

I got it through the mail yesterday. I was really bummed because I felt like I was a great candidate, but they said that they has scholarship apps from all across the country and it was extremely competitive. Since the rejection, I'm going to apply to Mercer too, just in case the fin. aid is not enough.

Ohh, I am sorry to hear that. Good idea to apply to other programs too. I am really stressed especially not knowing what the financial aid package is going to look like but I am praying that, if its not enough, they would help find me some loans because me problem is finding a co-signor.
