Emory 2021 BSN transfer

Published

Hello! I am currently an undergrad student at Texas, majoring in pre nursing.

I submitted my application to Emory's nursing program for 2021, and had so many question regarding the GER requirement, transfer equivalency, AP scores, etc.

My school does not offer an associate's degree, so I'm a bit confused on how the credit transferring works. Please let me know if anyone can offer some insight!

Thank you so much ?

Hey! I uploaded it to the application portal, emailed it to the general nursing's and dean's emails (contact us page). If you emailed the general nursing email and received any responses back from anyone - they generally include their own emails in there. You can cc it to them as well!

Right after I sent my LOCI, I got a response back from the general nursing's email that they will add it to my application (but I also uploaded it to the portal). But try to email it to the dean's email as well.

I think my stats are similar to yours. Around 3.9 GPA, no healthcare work experiences, in progress for A&P 1,2, and Microbiology.

I wish you luck!

Thank you for your response and the kind words- I did everything you mentioned, so I'll just have to wait patiently! Congratulations again :]

Has anyone that has been accepted received a FA package yet?

Hi guys, I am going to apply this year for Fall 2022.

For application, do I just fill it out in Emory website or in Common APp too?

If you’re applying as a BSN transfer, only through Emory’s nursing site.

thanks! did you applied any other schools?

Nope! I was planning to, but since I already got accepted, I didn’t feel the need to apply since Emory’s priority deadlines/decision release are much earlier than the cycles of the other schools I was planning on applying to.

Are you planning on attending the admitted student day on Jan 30th?

Still haven't received any updates on my financial aid package yet. A bit nervous looking at the price tag.

I can’t find the link to sign up. I remember getting one, but can’t find it in my email.

Hey! I got the link yesterday, but couldn't join as I had a family emergency. Did they say anything about FA during the BSN session? All I saw on the page was the $1000 scholarship for submitting your deposit.

They said those zoom meetings would be posted online afterward, but no mention of financial aid.

Do you know of BSN groups/groupme for 2021? I was able to find some MSN and ABSN groups but not any BSN groups.

Hello, I have some other questions here.

Do y'all attend 2 yr college or 4 yr college?

And I saw there's several apply deadlines; like early decision 2, etc.

Are there any differences or any submit date recommendations ?

Everyone who got in congratulations!

I go to a 4 year university, but I don’t think it matters as long as you meet the requirements.

Apply for the priority deadlines as they give scholarships to those who only apply early. Also, regular deadlines are on a space basis, they admit the majority through the priority deadlines.
