Emory BSN 2016

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hey Everyone! I just submitted my application last month for the BSN program for Fall 2016 :) I see that there are ABSN/MSN threads, but I haven't been able to find anything for the traditional program.

Where's everyone from? What are your stats? I live in Atlanta currently, and Emory is my DREAM school. One of my main concerns is that I won't have all of my prerequisites completed until this Summer, and I'm worried that may look bad on paper for them. So far I've made all A's in my nursing prereq's. I was initially planning on applying for Fall 2017, but since organic chem is no longer a requirement (thank god!!!), I find that I technically can apply for this Fall!

Good luck to everyone applying! I know this thread is a little late, but I figure it could be good for all of us to communicate through here :)

Hi!

I am preparing to apply for the Emory BSN fall 2017 start and I realize this is an older post but was wondering if any applicants... accepted or wait listed felt comfortable sharing their TEAS results?

Very nervous about taking them at the end of the semester and the site says 90% overall so I was wondering how people have done that have applied ?

Thank you!

Hey guys

I was reading every single response on here. I'm applying for fall 2017 and I'm doing my best to get good grades in my science courses. My only concern is that I have two jobs right now and taking some prerequisites, so I don't have time to do any volunteer work and I also don't have any experience in the field. I don't know how important that is to get admitted or to be considered to the program. For the teas test I know one girl from my class got accepted into Emory with a teas score of 80 and a 3.5 gpa. I want to know more for people who got accepted and the ones that were in the waiting list. One more thing I didn't finish my application online and I got an update saying that I wasn't accepted. I wander if it was because I didn't finish my application or they didn't see any potential at all. Hope to hear from you guys.

Hello,

I applied Emory's BSN for fall 2017 and I got waitlisted. I applied sometime around December and they gave me an update about the wait-list on 2/15. My teas score is very very low because I had not even started my A&P class by the time I took the test . I submitted my application with a low score anyway since I already paid the application fee. I was surprised I got waitlisted.. My GPA is around 3.5~ and I have been working for more than 14 years, but none of my work experience is health related...

For your situation, I think the fact that you did not complete the application is a huge draw back..

Anyway, good luck next time if you do apply this school again:)

I'm so happy someone answered me. I'll be applying again for next year. I'm glad to know that you don't have experience in the field but you got waitlisted. Hope you get accepted. I'll post again whenever I finish my application and any other updates. Thanks again

If I do not get in this year, I will probably be applying again next year. I really really like this school. I like it not only because they have a good program, but also because how much they focus on diversity. I screwed up my TEAS this year so I think my chance is slim. If you can, get some volunteer experience, I think that's always helpful.

Best of luck to all os us.
