Hey Everyone! I just submitted my application last month for the BSN program for Fall 2016 :) I see that there are ABSN/MSN threads, but I haven't been able to find anything for the traditional program.

Where's everyone from? What are your stats? I live in Atlanta currently, and Emory is my DREAM school. One of my main concerns is that I won't have all of my prerequisites completed until this Summer, and I'm worried that may look bad on paper for them. So far I've made all A's in my nursing prereq's. I was initially planning on applying for Fall 2017, but since organic chem is no longer a requirement (thank god!!!), I find that I technically can apply for this Fall!

No, an essay isn't a requirement. I have everything checked off except statistics, A&P 2, microbiology, and developmental psych. These are all classes I'm taking currently and over summer, but I'm SUPER nervous that a good portion of my prerequisites aren't completed. I have a 4.0 in my other prereq's, but I still feel like it's a long shot since they have so little science to judge. Do you have everything completed?

Don't think you're going to get anywhere close to cost of attendance covered at Emory. Even with a 0 EFC you will be lucky to get half.

Hi,

Im so glad you posted this because before, i didn't realize that Emory didn't require you to have organic chemistry. I sucked in that and was going to take it over this summer. Do they require the Teas test? I've checked under there requirements as a transfer student interested in there nursing program, but i never see it anywhere. Any who, if organic chemistry is not necessary I'm definitely going to consider applying for Fall 2016.

Hi @tragan! Organic chemistry over summer sounds pretty tough, but luckily they no longer require it. They also don't require the TEAS, but if you've already taken it and you did well, then definitely include it to help strengthen your application! Good luck!!

As of right now, your unofficial transcripts will suffice. However, it's my understanding that official transcripts will need to be submitted upon admission to the program.

Ok. I also submitted my resume. I can't wait to hear from them. I did my fafsa as well as this other form they requested. They ask for all of my expenses.
