  1. This is a really good question that I myself have also thought about. The only thing that eases my mind is having had to visit the hospital a few times within the last few months, I met one of the nurses that actually introduced me to chamberlain. I never heard of it before. She said it was a pretty good school but that it was expensive. She also stated its kind of all over the place with a fairly new dean. I definitely am thinking about this school also.
  2. Hi, Im so glad you posted this because before, i didn't realize that Emory didn't require you to have organic chemistry. I sucked in that and was going to take it over this summer. Do they require the Teas test? I've checked under there requirements as a transfer student interested in there nursing program, but i never see it anywhere. Any who, if organic chemistry is not necessary I'm definitely going to consider applying for Fall 2016.
  3. Oh Wow! Thanks for letting me know! well hopefully I can do that then. Lately every time I try to look at there website online, it seems to be down. I've tried from like several computers. I definitely should call and speak to an advisor. Do you live close to clayton state. I was worried about the drive at first, but I've been hearing that Clayton's program is wonderful, and better than a lot of other schools, that seem to have a more prestigious name.
  4. It really depends on the program/school that you are trying to go to. Most schools will have a time frame in which you can apply for there fall or spring semester. Its important to know the dates, because if your late it can push you back time wise in getting in a nursing program. I'm in the process of trying to apply to nursing schools as well, and most of the programs that I have come across, they don't mind if your currently taking a class(prereq) that is necessary for the class, as long as the class is completed prior to starting the nursing program. However, some schools want you to have a certain number of sciences and math taken prior to even applying to the program, the remainder just has to be completed prior to starting the actual nursing program. It all depends on the school
  5. I've already been speaking with an advisor, and most program deadlines for the fall of 2016 are in January some schools march, and for the start of spring 2017, deadlines are in the end of june. So I'm technically applying like now...lol..
  6. Hi, I'm interested in starting a nursing program in the Fall of 2016 or Spring 2017. I just don't know what schools to apply to. I have not yet taken the TEAS, as i plan to take it next month. I want to find the right school for me, and something thats in a good price range! I don't want to be in a whole bunch of debt. I'm currently down to my last two classes for prereqs and its time to buckle down. I don't want to rush through this process, and make the wrong decision. so far I've come up Kennesaw state Georgia state Emory Clayton state Chamberlain College Has anyone heard about these programs? Anything positive or Negative?
  7. HI, Im actually trying to decide that now! I know they require you to have a patho class taken, and Im going to try to take it in the summer. I currently attend Kennesaw State and Im still trying to get a list of schools to apply for, as I wanted to start in the Fall.
