Hello! I have been accepted to Emory's 2011 BSN program, and I wanted to create a new place for those that have also been accepted to keep in contact as we prepare for the fall. I am also interested in current and past students to offer any vital information that will help make this transition easier. I know this will be a very challenging program and I can only imagine everything I must do to be successful. So all advice and discussion are welcome!
As of now, I am very anxious about financial aid because it is unlikely that I will be able to submit my income tax return by March 15th. What are all my joining class thinking about now that we got the acceptance part out the way?:yelclap:
lots of walking...2 separate tours of the campus (the tour guides were very nice btw), had lunch, we got to sit in on a class, n a student questions n answers session. i think the best part of the day was meeting all the ppl on this site and the Q&A session with current students. i loved the campus and the faculty was very helpful, there are many resources available and basically the students said to be prepared to work ur butt off! i think that applies to every nursing program though. it was a good time to talk to fin aid or take care of any last minute questions or concerns remaining, face 2 face. there was a lot of us there so it was impossible to meet everyone. also bcause we got split up into 4 different groups to follow 4 different schedules. recap of what i got from the admit students day: prestigious school (stressed a lot), hard program (but doable), many resources avail to use such as: writing labs, advisement, 4 campus libraries, communication w/ professors (very impt), activities bldg (4 sports, activities, n excercise), opportunities to serve underprivileged populations, also alternative winter break n summer break opportunities in other countries avail, etc...all in all, Emory has a excellent program if u can afford it and don't mind working hard for it. the schedule for fall can b searched online n looks like it will be 5 days a wk(either in class or at clinicals). sorry u missed coming, hope this helps! n for the ppl i met on thurs, it was a pleasure to meet all of u. it's good to match a name to a face. good luck to those of u who've already decided on emory n good luck to those of u who are still on the fence like me! lol...
ATI gives you an option of seeing a pdf of your score report. If Emory isn't an option, then sending them the pdf is probably all they need. Some of the other schools I am applying to just ask for the pdf.
How do I select the pdf option? Is it possible to just have the scores sent to my house? It is forcing me to pick a school to send a report to when I try to register and I'm not sure what to do. Thanks!
