Emory Accelerated BSN/MSN Program (Summer 2010) - Anyone Else Accepted?

Hi - I was recently accepted to Emory's Accelerated BSN/MSN Program for Summer 2010. Has anyone else been accepted?

I am in Atlanta at Georgia Tech (I graduate ten days before Emory starts). How about you? I thought the same thing about my letter. When I got my letter I had to ask my dad if I had even read it correctly. I thought letter were not released until February.

I hate all the forms for financial aid plus they don't tell you what year you need to fill out for summer school. I wish I could just go ahead and send my check in to go but I need to see if I will be able to afford it.

I keep on looking for info about computers, phones, ect but I can't find any. Have you seen anything about that kind of stuff?

Wow, 10 days?! Are you going to get a quick vacation in there?

Yep, I am in Atlanta. I am working for Emory right now so am trying to save money and get organized. I completely understand about affordability. I am hoping that financial aid will come through. I'm also planning to take advantage of the courtesy scholarship that the University offers to employees to help.

I did read somewhere (I think in the other threads here) that a PDA is required. Most of the info that I have found has been through this website. I am curious as to when they plan to send out more info. Have you found out any additional info?

No, and I actually just saw the acceptance letter online...but the letter said they would be sending a packet this week, so hopefully we will all know more soon! I've still got to send in my tax return for financial aid for the summer...

Congrats Diamonddanelle! I'm Public Health as well so looks like we'll be hanging out together for the long haul.

Mal - I'm in the same boat as you....hoping for lots of aid! LOL

Emory has some scholarships and programs to help pay for school (check the SON website). I know that some of the deadlines were January 15th, but I think there may be some later deadlines. The Service Cancellable Loans have been discontinued for this year. Hopefully, they will be reinstated next year.

I applied for the Fuld Fellowship, so I'm gonna see what they tell me about that. I know its probably a long shot. But, I'm planning on going to Emory even if I have to take out crazy loans. It seems they offer most everyone some money... I'm living in Kennesaw right now, I wonder if that commute is going to be too tough every day...
