I'm going to start a forum for the ABSN+MSN program! Please post questions, comments, and acceptances! Best of luck to everyone.

Sorry you didn't get a reply earlier! Once you're admitted, you're admitted to both programs. the ABSN program starts and ends in the summer semester so then we can start the MSN program in the Fall after we finish the ABSN.

I'm switching out the MSN for a DNP and for that, I'm not sure if I need a mandatory break for some experience.

Fair warning though: I wish the school did more to help us financially for this program. The first time undergrads get a loan cap grant, why can't we?

Yeah I paid my tuition deposit a few months ago so I’ve just been waiting. I have also completed al my financial aid requirements. Was your efc high if you don’t mind me asking? I thought we would be getting a least some decent aid.

Nope. I got a school grant for about about 1/8th of the cost. For federal loan, idk if I've just reached the maximum from other degrees, or they really expect us to get additional private loans. I'm putting off thinking about loans till well after the holidays.

Have you tried checking the page where you see your admission status? Check on a desktop rather than mobile and see if there's anything to click there.

oh geez I was hoping for more than that ? but yeah I checked that page and still nothing. I emailed financial aid and Im just waiting for a response!

Is anyone else a little nervous on how we’re gonna survive this program without being able to work ? I heard that after the first semester we can work as a medical assistant at certain hospitals/facilities as long as we can prove that we are nursing students but I don’t know the legitimacy of that

Hi everyone, congrats to you all!

I'm wondering if someone knows the answer to this. I haven't been able to submit the deposit fee yet, so I'm unsure of any tasks that need to be completed/sent. I know they have us get CPR certified, complete modules, read a book, send official transcripts, send immunizations etc. I think it's called a Compliance packet? Do we need to pay the deposit before we get access to the tasks/paperwork needed?

I paid my deposit a while ago and have not received any checklist besides to send in FAFSA for both 2019-20 and 2020-21, and to send in proof of residency stuff (license, birth cert, etc). The rest I have been basing off of their previous lists, like the one I attached.

hey guys! i got accepted into the WHNP track in November :))))

I'm excited, but I'm still waiting to hear back from other schools too so I haven't paid my deposit yet or anything.

I still have the chemistry prerequisite to complete..... Is anyone else stuck completing prerequisites this coming semester? Looking for a little commiseration! haha

Haha I'm still taking prereqs too! A&P 2 and Lifespan. Had a lil panic two weeks ago because I didn't have the prereqs to take lifespan, but I got an exemption after a couple days of freaking out. ? Now to pass the classes so I still qualify to start in May!

I just heard back tonight. I’m accepted but I’m only applying for the ABSN portion. I didn’t submit PS or recommendation letters so I didn’t really know the standard they used to select for students.

Same! I was waitlisted. I was told to update anything that could benefit your acceptance. Once people reject their acceptance, they review applicants on the waitlist to fill the available spots.
