Emory ABSN+MSN 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I'm going to go ahead and start a forum for the ABSN+MSN program! Feel free to post questions, comments, and acceptances! Good luck!

Congrats! Do you mind sharing your stats? I'm also applying for the WHNP

Hey! Sure, I applied to the FNP DNP program. In terms of stats, I got my MSN entry degree at Hopkins with a 3.89 and an unddrgrad degree in community health at a big state school with a 3.70. I have been working at a level 1 ER as an RN for a little over a year now. Hope this helps! Best of luck!

I heard back from them today, and I was wait listed. Fingers crossed!!!

My acceptance did not say which specialty I was admitted for. Stats just in case it helps anyone: UCSB biopsychology '18, GPA 3.69, prereqs NOT finished at the time of application (anatomy, microbio, physio), 8 months volunteering at an ER, 6 months part time job as a HHA assisting a woman with Alzheimer's, 3 months clinical research assistant at UCSF pediatric endocrinology clinic

Does anyone know the acceptance rate of this program? I was accepted in November, just trying to gauge what that could mean for my admissions decisions into other programs (i.e. , Yale, etc.).

I've been wondering the same thing! I can't find any statistics specific to ABSN+MSN programs so I'm guessing they generally aren't published. I've been using US New and World Report MSN admission statistics as my gauge. Emory and Yale are on the lower end (40-ish %), and Penn are higher (60-ish %).

I've been using this website for reference-

I just called the financial aid office and they said that my award was just sent out today 1/18/2019 though it may not be visible on OPUS yet due to processing, etc.
