EMORY ABSN+MSN 2017

Published

So I decided to start a thread for the Fall 2017. Any current/prospective student on here? What GPA did you have when you applied and how competitive is the selection process? If you don't mind sharing your work experience and GRE score, that will be awesome. For those who are enrolled, do you mind sharing your experience?

Thanks!

I was hoping to get an idea of what a typical financial aid package looked like. I've been accepted to 4 other programs already and need to make a decision soon, but I haven't heard from Emory just yet. Ultimately, money will be the deciding factor though Emory is my first choice.

It's my first choice too and money is also a factor!

I was recently admitted into the ABSN + MSN program! Don't submit your GRE scores immediately! They will review your transcripts first and you will need to fill out an application to get your GRE waived. If you see that the GRE is removed from your checklist that means your scores were waived! I got one waived and I had about a 3.6 GPA from my undergrad and then a 3.8 from a community college where I took prerequisites.

Does everyone have access to OPUS or just certain people?? I am still waiting on a decision, even though my app was submitted back in September but I have also gotten a financial aid package as well. Trying not to read into anything or get my hopes up í ½í¸©

You've already received a financial aid package without having received a decision??

I have access to opus but no decision just yet, so I'm assuming everyone has opus access but I'm not sure.

I have filled out everything for financial aid through OPUS without a decision letter. I thought this was weird but I filled it out anyways. They have start my processing my application again and I'm getting more classes checked off. I have 2 Xs left before everything is done.

I don't have access to OPUS... is this a fluke or do other people not have access either?

I had my GRE score waved/ everything checked off last Monday. Does anyone know how long it'll take between getting all the checks and a decision?

I don't have OPUS access yet either--I think that a lot of people may get OPUS access next Tuesday, when decisions are released!

I already have OPUS access and can't wait to hear back tomorrow! To the people who have been accepted, did you get an email or have to log in to OPUS on your own?

I can't wait to hear from them as well!! The suspense is killing me!!

Hi everyone!

I know a lot of you have had questions about the admission decision release! Admission decisions will begin being released at 5PM Eastern Time on November 15th. Decisions will continue being released as the admission committee reviews applicants for this fist round of submissions. You will receive decisions and updates in your admission status via your Application Portal Page. If you have questions concerning your application material, please do not hesitate to email [email protected]!

Hi everyone,

I applied to Emory back in September and still haven't received a decision letter. I applied to the FNP speciality.

Here are my stats:

Undergraduate GPA: 3.74

Prerequisite/science GPA: 3.81

GRE scores: average

Extracurricular/work/volunteer experience: Five years of health care experience working as a medical assistant and administrative assistant; TA'd for two courses; Resident Assistant for three years; involved in Greek Life for five years.

I'm so anxious to hear back from the admissions committee at Emory tomorrow! So far, I have applied to Columbia University, Simmons College, MGH Institute of Health Professions, and Northeastern University, but Emory is my first choice.

Good luck to everyone that has not received a decision yet.
