Emory ABSN/MSN accepted students summer 2012

Hey everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for those of us who have been accepted to the ABSN/MSN program at Emory. I thought it would be helpful in discussing preparations for next year and getting to know each other! Congrats!

What are you confused about?

Katie had told us that we would hear about merit/endowed aid this week,

then need-based aid in a week or two,

and then fellowship info by 1st week or so in March?

Did I leave anything out?

I heard her when she annouced the timeframe for the award process.. I have additional questions that I believe only the financial aid office will be able to answer.. Thanks tho..

@bluecloud: does this merit based aid (fellowship, scholarship, etc) time frame of notification also apply to students who applied to the segue program and not the absn/msn program?

@danceluver - i think it just applies to absn/msn.

that's my guess, because ABSN/MSN starts in May and segue starts in August.

But I'd ask Katie Kennedy anyway, just to make sure I guess.

How much is the total estimate cost for this program (including living expenses)? I was only able to find information on the cost per a semester for the BSN or MSN programs, and it's kind of confusing to figure out the total cost.

(I am referring to the A-BSN/MSN program.)

I know this thread is old, but I just got into Emory and want to know peoples experience so far in the program. Do you feel that this program is a top notch program? How are the clinical? Did most of you get financial aid ? Any inside information about the program would be fantastic!! Thanks

I also have the same questions at meep05. Also I've looked around but can't seem to find out when exactly does the program start. It just says "summer" on the website. That could mean June or August which I think is a big difference.

I have the same questions! From what I have found it seems to start in May?? Who knows ah!

@kdiem- I cannot find any concrete info on the website either, but last year's program started in May... I found the 2012-13 academic calendar which says that this summer semester starts May 20th, and since the program starts in the summer, I am assuming this will be the starting date. Not sure either though, hopefully we will find out some definite info soon!
