Emory ABSN Fall 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys! I noticed there isn't a thread for Emory's ABSN for Fall 2020, so I figured I would start one. The priority decision releases are supposed to be sent out today. Has anyone heard anything?

Hi! I was admitted on Friday as well, but I am undecided about the program. Where else did everyone apply?

I'm also undecided about the program- I love Emory and I love Atlanta- it was actually my dream school for undergrad. However, the other programs I'm applying to are all MSN programs: Johns Hopkins, Boston College, Northeastern and Augusta University. I feel like if I got accepted to an MSN I would choose that over the BSN. I would have applied to Emory's MSN, but the start date is before I graduate from my current school ?

I also applied to UNC Chapel Hill, Rutgers, and University of Southern Maine for ABSN. I most likely will be attending Emory unless I get accepted to Chapel Hill, then I'll have to decide which one I'll attend depending on price and which location I think I would like more. I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area by the way!

Since I’m looking to go neonatal route I need 2 years of NICU experience after BSN before I can go for my MSN so I’m choosing between Emory, Duke, and Columbia. Emory was my dream school for undergrad though so I think I will actually still choose it over the other two. Going for a visit to Emory this Friday if anyone will be there! ?

For the people who have been accepted in the program. Can you list your stats (GPA,TEAS, if you wrote a personal statement or not etc) Just finished my application today for regular decision Fall2020 and I’m so nervous!

undergrad: 3.2

MBA: 3.335 with most recent semester a 3.667

ACT: 34 (submitted this score instead of TEAS)

I did the personal statement! ?

Hi! I was accepted last month.

TEAs: 90%
Undergrad GPA: Overall, 3.86 but I had transferred schools my sophomore year and I had a 4.0 at the school I graduated from.
I wrote a personal statement!
I did not take the GRE.

I am hoping I will be able to attend Emory as it's my top choice, but my god it is expensive!

Also, has anyone planned on starting a FB page for admits? Might be easier to chat?

Does anyone know about when we will hear about scholarships?

@amberxoxo Nope, I would like to know, too. I was comparing tuition rates with a few other accelerated programs and noticed that Emory U costs twice as much....

Does anyone know why that is?
