People may experience many different symptoms when they have a problem with the blood vessels in their heart especialy MI. as a nurse, what intervetion must be done in emergency department? I emphasis, AS A Nurse.

O2 BNC (usu. 2 L), ASA 325 mg, 2 large-bore INTs, cardiac/BP/SpO2 monitor, EKG (obviously), shave groin for cath lab, NTG (if covered by the ER's protocol). Those are the independent interventions I can think of. You'll probably end up giving heparin and metoprolol as well, but not without an order.

if needed, Who check the criteria for infusion of thrombolitics?

are nurses has authority for evaluating this criterias?

well the nurses can obtain this information, the md has to fill out the "paper work" and has the final say. the md orders for fibrinlysis and the nurse begins to follow the protocol......here are some examples of md orders you may find helpful
