Embarking on my EC journey!

Published

:nurse: I just submitted my app to begin at EC. I have been an LPN for 9 years. Can anyone give me any feedback on their success with this program so far? What are the must have books to be successful? Does anyone have any feedback on the best CPNe sites because the college website didn't provide much info about that. If there is anyone that took the CPNE in the southeast part of the U.S. I would really like your feedback since I am from the Carolinas. I don't want to travel too far. Thanks!smile.gif

They received my transcripts on 6/3 and my review was done 6/14 after I called and asked them how much longer, within a couple of hours it was done. I have to do one more humanities and information literacy.

Wow, that's pretty fast! I sent them an email today, so I'm hoping maybe Monday....??? I'm guessing they will tell me I still need Eng101, Micro, Dev Psych, and Info Lit.... I've got everything else.

Good luck to you, Scorpio!

Good luck Scorpio! :yeah:

I'm still awaiting a reply from Excelsior. I will send them an email soon. Hopefully they will speed up the process!

Have you heard anything Barbara?

Hey... how was Transitions?

Well I passed....barely! I got a C but I thought I did better. The theorist questions were ones I was not real familiar with and there was several questions regarding the different health reports that I must just skimmed. My best area was the critical thinking stuff. I don't have my sheet in front of me but the last section I scored 87% on, the others were 67% and higher with 67% being the theorist/history. I'm trying to motivate myself for Health Safety now, I test on July 7.

Well I called and the Admissions office said they have everything but the rep was not sure why they haven't started my review yet? WTH! Its been 2 weeks since they received everything. She told me I need to speak with an Admissions counselor tomorrow during business hours....ugh they left 10 minutes ago. She said they also had the copy of my license also.....I know they have everything. I'm impatient, you can tell I'm sure.

I guess I will call tomorrow and see what is going on. :(

I understand how you feel! Excelsior has all my transcripts, license, etc and I'm still waiting too. I emailed them and they replied that I will have my transcript review the week of July the 4th.

I'm ready to get started too!

Well I called and was told my eval was done but its for the wrong degree program, it was done for the AS Liberal Arts, so they noticed that I was an LPN and said they would switch it to the ADN program and re-evalulate. She said it would take about a week to complete. So that sounds better than the 2-4 weeks they said in my email this morning, prior to the phone call. I am hoping that I will see it before the end of the day.....hoping for a miracle!

Nervous1,

Have you already enrolled?
