I am starting online RN-BSN via Chamberlain College of Nursing from July. Just wondering if any nurses out there who will be starting the program or in the program>
Any suggestion/idea is appreciated as it will be my first online program...........
Thank you!!!!
I have gotten so use to writting papers I could sneeze and on could come flying out. I only have my capstone to do I heard it is a 25 page paper a little nervous about that. The transitional paper is a lot smaller compared to the other classes. That class only has one paper that needs to be done. The key to getting a good paper is to let some one read it before you turn it in. My husband reads and points out what needs to be corrected. Good Luck on your BSN in 2010
I start Jan 4th with Transitions in profess nursing & cultural diversity in the profesions. Just a tad nervous I hate writing papers
After much consideration, I am applying today to start in Jan also. They are still excepting applications for Spring and I'm so ready to go back. I've been out of school a year and I'm bored outside of working 40+ hours a week.
I also hate writing papers! I'd much rather take Calculus again! LOL
But since I want to earn my BSN thru online classes, there is no getting around writing PAPERS. Here's hoping I get so good at them I'll learn to love them. :)
The papers aren't bad. Like Boonce1, at this point, I can whip out a paper pretty quickly! I was a journalism major my first trip through school, and I enjoy writing, so that probably helps. I just had to learn the APA style -- I was more used to AP or the Chicago Manual of Style.
Just finished Community Health Nursing with a big ol' A!! :) Next is NR446 -- Collaborative Healthcare and NR448 -- Information Systems for Healthcare. Then I'll only have two classes left! Yay!!

congrats!
I'm more of a math-science geek myself! Give me a proof, a math exam, or a science project and I am excited, LOL!
This writing papers business will be painful for me but I understand the necessity of it all. I even forced myself to take a writing intensive course prior to NS to get myself back into the groove of writing papers.
p.s. I sent you a pm :)
Okay my fellow Chamberlain friends. I have four classes to complete including the capstone. I am signed up for Vietnam and the 20th century and was wondering how much writing is involved with this class?? Also, I was thinking of adding Evidence based practice so I am finished faster. What is evidence based practice class like?? Is there a book to read and of course how about the writing is involved?? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind writing but when 2 classes demand papers everyweek at the same time, it is a lot when working full time. Thanks, Nicole
