Hi all!!
I know it's a bit early but I'm looking to apply to SFSU's ELMSN program for Fall 2022 and I was wondering if there's anyone here that has already applied to this program and could answer some questions for me regarding stats and what the application process is like?!
Also open to finding people who are also going to apply this cycle ?
Thanks!

Mine was worded "I am sorry to inform you that your application to the Entry Level Master of Science in Nursing program has been denied."
I feel like the way the phrased it, it is very harsh. But fortunately I have committed to another program so I wasn’t too worried about the admissions decision
Didn't apply to this program but debating if I should in the future...
I am a former sfsu graduate, would I still have to fill out a "Cal State Apply application ?"
Also, if you were to specialize in the CNS role, can you also apply for the FNP certificate after that year of clinical experience?
Anyone have had the same thoughts or was in the same boat as me before?

Yes. The message will change after each step. For example, mine changed from application accepted to accepted into program and now that I have accepted my spot it said Fall 2022- Matriculate and now Fall 2022- Active in program
Hello all!
I was accepted into the public health specialty. A little about my stats. This is my first time applying. I am a SFSU grad with a 3.64 GPA (don't know if being alumni helped). I had all A's in my science classes, 3 letters of rec (1 from the nurse I helped, 2 from my former bosses from a school tutoring job I had where I worked with low-income migrant students). I submitted a log of 170+ volunteer hours, my resume (in my objective I made sure to include I was seeking entry into nursing school) and my personal statement.
I believe that my reasoning for wanting to become a nurse and my well rounded experiences made me a qualified candidate.
If you did not get selected, please do not give up. I almost gave up and look at me now. I always kept in mind that I would get in when it was meant for me.

Also got denied. Same email as Melgirl.
I’m gonna keep applying! And y’all should too. This is a tough journey for sure but I am excited. Congrats to those who get in and best wishes to everyone!
