El centro nursing fall 2016

Hello, I know this is going up kind of early but i was wondering if anyone else was applying to the nursing program at el centro for fall 2016, if i am not mistaken , the deadline is some where in november to January. How many points will you guys have by the time you apply?

We have received your immunization forms and they have finished processing. Please refer to the status below.

Missing: Hep A #2 Past Due

They told me that my Hep A #2 was past due but on the forms they say that Hep A #2 is not required to apply until Spring 2017 and beyond.

You only need the first Hep A shot to apply, but if you have the first hep A shot, you have to get the second one in six months or they count that as being past due. If you are in Dallas you can go to the Health dept and get it today.

You may want to contact the dean to be sure. The requirements are as follows:

Hepatitis A: (Hep A #1 is required to apply)a. Dose #1 must be administered before application deadline and Dose #2 administered 6 months after the first.

I'm not sure if they will disqualify you since you did not get the second within six months.

Agreed. Contact the dean. Keep us updated. This happened to someone before in one of these threads (I think spring 2016) but I don't remember the outcome.

They told me to go and receive the second shot and I will be fine. I work until 11 p.m. tonight so I'll have to get it done tomorrow and just go straight to fed ex and send it in.

Thank you guys, I dropped off my application but i know for sure that Im not gonna get in because I asked and they said that the minimum amount of points for admission was around 28 or 29 and a competitive score was 30. :/ But hopefully I get in to the other schools I applied to. Anyways, good luck to everyone!

Whom do you ask? I was told the cut off pint from last semester was 26.

If you look on the thread from the last application period the applicants said it was 28 or 27 I believe. But I think there was a change in the HESI scoring so points were changed accordingly. I would email the lady who is in charge of admissions for the health programs. She is very helpful and responds pretty fast.

Hi Madison,

The cut off point from the previous semester was 28 with the new point system. However, some students did not enroll to the program for multiple reasons (e.g. They were accepted in another school, etc). Meaning they pick up students from the next pool making 26 the cut off point. We just need to have faith. í ½í¸‰í ½í¹í ½í¹

Hello All! This is my first time posting on this thread. I turned in my application for Fall 2016 El Centro Nursing Program in mid-January. I applied with 32 points. I am hoping this should be more than enough points to get accepted. I am just worried because I have read in the past that other students were shorted points. This semester I am taking that last couple of BSN courses that give you an extra point. If I don't get accepted into the Fall semester I will have 35 points for next application, but I will literally have nothing left to take in the Fall while I wait to get into the Spring semester. I just really hope I get into the Fall because otherwise I will be sitting around doing nothing for Fall semester. Best Wishes to everyone. I would love to be updated on everyone's progress!
