El centro nursing fall 2016

Hello, I know this is going up kind of early but i was wondering if anyone else was applying to the nursing program at el centro for fall 2016, if i am not mistaken , the deadline is some where in november to January. How many points will you guys have by the time you apply?

Hello, If I dont make the deadline coming up in May 2015 I will be applying in November. Depending on if i score good on the HESI i will have 30 pts or more. I am trying to work on all my shots and I have to pass anatomy this semester because I made a D last semester bummer!!

Hi All...

I too am applying for the El Centro/North Lake ADN Program, Fall 2016. I took the HESI in April and it WAS NOTHING LIKE I EXPECTED! I thought it would be more difficult, but it was very similar to the TAKS test, with an A&P section. To date I've taken: Eng 1301/1302, SCIT 1407, Micro, HPRS1204 (Dr.Kuklinski is the BEST, BTW.) Govt 2305/2306 (D in 2306, so I don't think it will get a point), HIST 1301/1302, PSY2301/2314,Speech1311, and SOC1301.

This summer I plan on taking as many classes as possible to get more points. I'll probably end up taking 4 in summer, then 4 in the fall, then applying.

Does anyone know any other good ADN programs to consider outside of El Centro that are close to the metroplex?? I looked at Brookhaven but they require a few more classes than El Centro. Ultimately I want to get a BSN from UTA, but I want to take the ADN route first so that I can start working. I'm 26 and I want to get this done as soon as possible...

How long is the shots process? I've heard some ppl say that you can't get all of your shots in one day. Is this true? I guess what I wanted to know is if getting shots is a 3 months process or something...?

Hi Jessica, it depends on what shots you need...th hep A,B are indeed three months I believe...The Varicella is one month. Try to find your childhood shot record that will save you alot of time or just get a titers done.If you are applying in November you should get started on those shots asap...

If anyone who will be applying for fall 2016 needs a copy of their immunzation records and attended school in DISD, give them a call to see if they have them, because to my surprise they still had mine from 15 years ago.

I will be applying to the ADN program for January 2016 start date. The deadline for applications is July 15, 2015.

Does anyone know how many points would be needed (minimally) to be accepted?
