Hello all! I'm new here and have not seen a post for El Centro spring 2014. I was originally planning to apply for fall 2014, however I just heard that the point system and prerequisites have been revised! Now I will be able to apply for this spring! I don't know if I will get in, but its worth a shot! Anyone else applying for spring 2014?

Sorry! I have been out of town and haven't had much time to check email or anything! Hey is anyone taking any summer classes? I'm taking A&P 1 and sociology starting July 8th at TCC

HI everyone! I'm also applying for NL's nursing program for spring 2014. Im very nervous that ill get in. Im taking a few classes in summer 2. not including the HESI ill have 19 points. so if i get a perfect score on august 9th (the day of my HESI) ill be at 31. any body have an idea about the cut off point?

I have no idea what the cut off will be :/ it is hard to tell... the most points i will be able to have is 27. good luck to you! let us know how you do on your hesi! I am taking mine on August 23rd!

For you all that have seen the new 2014 point system:

are the pre req's still Eng, Psych, AP 1, HPRS 1204 and Statistics/Algebra???

The prereqs are now only A&P 1, psyc, and engl 1301. You get 3 extra points for HPRS 1204 and and extra point for both algebra and statistics!

Sorry if it takes me a while to email some of you the point system. I am taking summer A&P1 and sociology and will be starting HPRS 1204 tomorrow! Anyone else taking it at northlake?

Thanks jetergirl for sending me the info pages. Don't you find it odd they haven't uploaded the new packet yet. We are at the halfway point for the filing period for the Spring 2014.

Also, I notice that there is a maximum is 30 points noted that will be considered. If they will only use a maximum of 30 then they will probably use GPA and hesi test results to deal with the ties.

Can't get clarification yet from El Centro. Everyone seems to be on vacay.

Thanks JeterGirl for sending the email but i went ahead and called el centro and had them email it too me as well. It is a 40 point system and a possible 14 of those points for a possible 14 extra course can be used toward your point accumulation to be considered for acceptance. I have asked them when they will post the packet online and they said sometime toward the end of this week. I hope they stick to that. I have 20 points already before i take the hesi which i will take sometime this fall. and i register for 4 classes (11 credit hours). Busy busy. Gotta make it happen

It is odd that the new packet isn't up! Hopefully the new one will be up soon so I won't be so confused with everything! Lol I bet half of the applicants don't even know of the new point system yet! Strange... So where is everyone getting CPR certification? I got a number to call today that will be around $50. Is this a good price?

I got my CPR certification from El Centro. I believe it was $65. So I guess $50 isn't bad ATL all!
