El Centro/NLC ADN Spring 2020

Published

Hi everyone!I

I wanted to make a group for all the people applying for the Spring 2020 program. Has anyone taken the HESI yet? If so, are there better tools than the book?

@CharityL Is el centro your first choice?

No, Brookhaven but NLC is my first choice over downtown ECC.

El Centro is my first choice. I have quick access to the Dart, but I don’t mind driving to NLC either!

I read the information session and answered the Q&A. Do I need the application forms emailed from them or can I just print the forms from the nursing packet? I just need a physical on Monday, I'm assuming we submit the physical information through Castlebranch.

They should send you an application form, it’s like two pages. Congrats on having everything done!! I just got CPR certification done today. I’m getting there.

Hey guys! I am applying to the spring 2020 class. I wasn't accepted for the fall because I did not have my last Hep B shot.. I will have 40 points when I apply for the spring.

Hi @Colleeng16! Welcome! Hope this forum will help you out. 40 points!!! You will definitely be in this time.

Ugh. Maybe I’m late to party, but you all learn from me. I got “cpr bls” certified over the weekend-upload my certification to castle Branch. Hmm, rejected. Contact the school. Unlike, what the packet says, you know listing all the places you get certified, like American Red Cross. They only accept American Heart Association! Guess what I’m doing tomorrow? Smh.

Some things are very clear and others are not as clear.. I applied for the spring program and I did not get my third HepA vaccine before Jan 31st!

I just had the same CPR issue. My CPR was provided by Parkland. I don't understand, but I guess I'll just pay for mine. I'm applying with 30 points so I'm definitely terrified lol but heck I won't know if I don't try.

Has anyone been able to complete Hep B shots in under 6 months and still be accepted? I ask, because my doctor has mine scheduled to be completed in time, but it is less than six months. After my CPR mess, I don’t want this to hold me up!

Is the physical considered a work or school physical? Thanks.

Is anyone taking Chem?

I took Chem 1406 a couple years ago and now told that its not accepted. That they are requiring 1405 or 1411. Any professors that anyone recommend?

Thanks
