I will be applying to the fall 2018 semester at El Centro. I am excited but also nervous that I might not have enough points. How many points will everyone else be applying with?
I was accepted and I'm seriously considering it but I keep hearing from nurses that I work with in my hospital that LVNs won't get hired in a hospital setting here in the DFW. I'm conflicted: Yes, I do want to start a nursing program finally and there's no guarantee that El Centro ADN will admit any students this upcoming semester but..I'm not sure. What if someone starts in the LVN program for a semester, still applies to the ADN program and gets in, what happens then?
I spoke to Dean and she said after we complete LVN next August she can then put us in 3rd semester ADN in August 2019. I have applied UTA and been waitlisted 3 times so I decided to go back to ECC but of course ADN is on suspension and was talked into LVN then ADN 3rd semester if still interested. I am applying UTA again for Spring 19 just in case....so if you wanted you just drop LVN and go wherever u were accepted. Previous LVN class and the Dean told me that the LVN board pass rate was 100% and those LVN entering ADN and BSN had great knowledge.

It all depends on the current students that have to take the NCLEX exam scores. I heard Navarro was in the same boat on being on probation.
