Hello All!! I know it is VERY early to be thinking about this but the process to get in takes quite a long time. I wanted to make a thread to help us all get through the application process together, share problems, feelings, etc. :)

How did you guys study for the math portion? Just work and re-work problems or what?

Youtube helped me a lot! Also, when you re working your fractions, make sure you reduce your answers to the lowest number. When I mean lowest, I mean reducing that fraction to if posible, a mixed fraction if you arrive at an improper fraction. I got that type of question a lot. That's pretty much about it! The Hesi study guide was also helpful. If you can solve those on there, then you will be able to pull off athe least a 75%; that's if you re as horrible as I'm in math :-). Also, know your conversion table....hope that helps, and Goodluck on that!

I took HESI today. There were lots of proportions and ration. Adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions, and some measurement conversions. Also, percents! Change decimals to percents and percents to decimals, etc. Hope that helps

I did well on everything but A&P! I made 64! I was so disappointed. I retake Dec 20 ugh

I am also applying to TVCC in Kaufman, but the deadline for TVCC is Dec 1 so I am trying to see if they have a sooner date there so i can still apply there Dec 1. If not then I guess ECC it is lol

That's ok, you will be fine! Did you go over the remedial courses on Evolve Web site? Trust me, those stuffs where really helpful. I wish you the best! But at the same time, don't loose focus! Good luck to you..

Hmmm. I'm definitely freaking out. I was originally going to apply to TWU, but after meeting with an advisor she basically said I wouldn't be competitive enough to be accepted which was a HUGE bummer. Now, I am looking more into El Centro's program. I've heard many great things about the ADN program. I think I may have a competitive amount of points, but... maybe not haha

You could also check into Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) In Kaufman. I have alot of info on ECC and TVCC if you need anything let me know. Also my email is [email protected]

I'm also taking it Dec 20! And Nov 18 at the north lake campus! 2 more shots to take this test!!

I have Dec 20 at ECC and also got a spot Nov 13 at TVCC :)
