El Centro College Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi guys,

i wanted to make a forum for all of the 2019 applicants. I wanted to know what everybody was going to apply with and if they knew anything about the school still being in academic probation? Also does anybody know if the school accepts the Hep A and Hep B shows that are 1 month apart?

Everyone had to reapply.

Does anyone have any new information on the status of our applications? Did a lot of people apply in July?

If you want, post what other programs you applied to. I only applied to El Centro.

I applied at Grayson College also. I will apply to Trinity Valley College on Sept.15th.

If you applied Fall18 I believe that you do not have to reapply from my understanding at the information session that I attended. A friend of mine did not reapply she only wanted you to update the information if it needed to be updated. And they advised that people should use the castle branch because of the saving of it it's a one time fee of 25.00 versus the reoccurring fee of 40 something with sentryMD. But I do believe that if your information is on sentryMD from the fall applications it was okay. BUT they advised people in the information session that it's best to use Castlebranch.

Good info, thank you. Gosh, that will make for a lot of applicants.

Don't quote me but I think it was around 45........ BUT just think they gave them options to apply at MVC &Brookehaven I believe. AND... What if some of them applied else where and was accepted? And what if some information changed and don't respond to any emails that might have been sent to them... I just try to think of it that way... LOL

Any updates on the status of the nursing program for Spring 2019?

Does anyone know about how many people applied for Spring 2019?

I haven't heard anything about the number of applicants so far.

Have they ever released that info?

Hey everyone!! I talked to a current El Centro nursing student in my Microbiology class and was told that the probation should be lifted since the pass rate was about 80% last semester. I believe it was either 83% or 84%.

I am taking all of your advice and applying to more than one program for the fall. I will definitely be applying for Weatherford College and possibly McLennan Community College in Waco. Waco is about an hour and 20 min away from me, so I don't know if I want to drive that far. I am looking into the other DCCCD schools and I will probably go ahead and apply for El Centro since I will have 23 points before my Hesi, and If I am already taking my hesi for other programs, I might as well submit the app for El Centro.

I will be watching this thread to cheer y'all on as your acceptance letters roll through! GOOD LUCK!
