El Centro College Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi guys,

i wanted to make a forum for all of the 2019 applicants. I wanted to know what everybody was going to apply with and if they knew anything about the school still being in academic probation? Also does anybody know if the school accepts the Hep A and Hep B shows that are 1 month apart?

Do anyone know how many people are accepted to the LVN to RN program?

Usually up to 20 students

Oh wow that's not a lot at all.

Hey y'all. Does anybody know the process once you are accepted? I did read on here that there is a mandatory orientation a week or so later. I read that you pick your schedule and tuition is due then. Tuition due in early November? That sounds too early.

One of my old classmates was accepted a few semesters ago had an orientation in Nov and they gave the cost and fees. Then all the required costs and scrubs had to be done before the orientation in Jan. I'm not sure which orientation the background and fingerprints have to be done by.

I emailed Jesse about the count on the LVN to RN applicants he replied "as of now we have around 65 applicants".

I didn't ask about the general enrollment maybe someone else should email him to get that response.

Wow that's a lot of applicants for only 20 spots.

That's the most I ever heard applying for the program in one semester. It's going to be more competitive than I inital thought.

Yeah I'll be looking into other programs now that I know that. I'm pretty sure I won't be getting in.

Don't be discouraged by the number of applicants. They have to make sure of different factors and many people that applied most likely applied to several schools and possibly go with the other options. It's truly just a waiting game at this point. Even if you dont get the intial acceptance letter I have heard of several people getting the call and email days before the program they got in because another person decided to not attend.

Yes, that's what I was thinking that is a lot of applicants!!!!! BUT they have the applicants that applied last year in that pile also when they weren't able to admit students so we have to think how many of them have possibly already started another program or who will respond to the emails once sent out. I'm trying to stay as encouraged as possible but I do plan to apply to Trinity Valley College if I don't get in because they will be accepting applicants till Dec.1...

I think I have 33-34 points but I don't know the highest ranges that apply for the LVN to RN part.

Let's stay encouraged though!!!

The information packet states they accept approximately 30 applicants for the LVN to RN.
