El Centro ADN 2012

Published

Hello,

Who here has applied or will apply to El Centro's ADN program for spring 2012 and if so, what are your points? I am about to turn in my application and I have 17 points.

Just got my letter! I am in at Northlake just like I wanted!!

Woohoo...mailman just came and I made it into Northlake campus :yeah:

Sorry to hear mhutch820...such a minor error and they didn't let you correct it. You'll be guaranteed a spot next time!

Question for those of you that have received acceptance letters --- did you all have a 4.0 gpa? I know in the past I was told you needed a 4.0 to be guaranteed a spot, but now with the point system that isn't the case. Just wondering???

Congratulations again to all of you who got in!!!

@ JC046, no you do not have to have a 4.0. As you can see, some of us got in with 14 points. I don't have a 4.0...but you must maximize your points to get in and it all depends on the applicant pool.

To the others that got in, did anyone called to confirm our orientation date. The congratulatory letter and uniform letter state Wed (30th) but the confirmation letter states Tues (29th). I don't think we'll need to show up twice...correct???

You get 5 points if your gpa was between 3.6 and 4.0. I barely made that with a 3.6 because of a c in algebra.

JC046, 3.88 here. I've heard a 4.0 GPA is a more critical element for Brookhaven's app process. The point system is different there. -and because of fewer seats maybe.

Thank you all for your replies. I greatly appreciate them!!!

I didnt have a 4.0 but I did max out the points on my pre-req's and I have all my support courses done except one.

Congratulations to everyone that made it in!!

My gpa is 3.9. I lost points from the hesi, no experience, and I'm in micro now so I didn't get credit for that. But all my other support courses are done. I only had 14 points and did not expect to get in.

From what the director of the program told me is that the HESI scores are very important. Because a person with a 2.5 gpa can ace the HESI thats 12 points all ready. All support courses done is 5 more points to make 17. That is a good chance of getting in with 17. Congrats to everyone. Even if you didnt make it. Dont give up.. Keep trying. This was my second time around.

Hello everyone, my name is Brenda. I just received my acceptance letter to the North Lake campus. I am looking forward to meeting everyone.
