Hello fellow nursing students!!!

i just submitted my application to the nursing program (ADN) at El Camino College in Torrance, Ca. I have worked in the medical field for almost 10 years but have limited experience with hands on patient care. This is my first big step towards my career and i cannot be more excited :)

i am looking for any fellow students who are also prospectively trying to get in to this program.

i have already began to study for the TEAS even though invitations aren't released until mid October. Test dates would begin sometime in November (according to my counselor)

My overall point score was a 44 and according to my counselor the average points (to get accepted) range from 37-42 so i'm feeling really good about my chances :)

any response or feedback would be greatly appreciated!!! happy Tuesday all :)

i was a little shocked when you said they had only given you a week...students i had talked to previously said they were at least given a month....makes me a little nervous but stay positive! im sure you did great. as for me i still haven't received an invite and im starting to get really anxious!!![/quote'] I wished I had a month :/. Well I'm staying positive and confident I will get in since I'm praying for it :).

Hello,

I am also interested in the Nursing program at El Camino. What score are you referring that ranges from 37-42, I completed my TEAS already, I just need to confirm my courses taken at another school are transferable. Thank you

Yes I didn't get the score I wanted, 64%, but I'm being hopeful

what challenge exam? There isn't no challenge exam for me, I got accepted for the program already in Compton center!! :D

Yes I didn't get the score I wanted, 64%, but I'm being hopeful

i just took the teas myself. it was a lot harder than i expected but i still managed to get a 73!!! i'm crossing my fingers that its enough to get me in. best of luck Bryan! keep us updated

not yet...still crossing my fingers!!!! Torrance campus takes a little longer to send them out i heard :-/
