Are you referring to NCLEX and working in the US? If so, you should check out the nursing registration forum as well as the Pearson Vue (the company that administers NCLEX) website for more information. Another place to seek info is from the US state in which you wish to become licensed.

What you need to do is applying to the state board of nursing and meet their requirements. Once you have completed this you will get eligibility to sit NCLEX. Then you register with Pearsonvue wait for ATT and can arrange to sit NCLEX at an approved test centre. List of state board of nursing websites can be found via a link at the bottom of the page

No you are not correct. You do not apply for the NCLEX first. You need to choose the state where you wish to live and work. Then follow the instructions on that state's board of nursing website to apply for a nursing license by examination as an internationally educated nurse. Most states require a credential assessment by CGFNS first before they will consider your application. Applying to take the NCLEX is the LAST step in the process
thanks a lot
so i have to got a work first then exam
what about to be RN register ?
1. Choose the state where you wish to live and work within the United States.
2. Go to the board of nursing website for your chosen state. (you can google the state name+ board of nursing)
3. Review the requirements for a nursing license by examination as an internationally educated nurse. Some states like Indiana will only consider nurses who have a license issued by the country where they were educated. Most states require a credential evaluation report (CES) from CGFNS (CGFNS International, Inc. | Global Credibility |) NY requires a CVS report. California does their own credentials evaluation. Follow the instructions on the board of nursing website.
4 if a CGFNS report is required, you wait until that report is complete before applying to the board of nursing for a nursing license by examination as an internationally educated nurse. If not complete the application to the board of nursing and pay all required fees in US dollars.
5. Once the board of nursing has reviewed your application and approved you to take the NCLEX, then you apply to Pearson View to take the NCLEX-RN and pay the $200 registration fee. If you need to take the exam overseas there are additional fees involved.
6. Pass the NCLEX and await the state to issue your license.
Note some states will either not consider your application or won't issue a nursing license without a valid social security number. (FL will process the application but won't issue a license without a SSN) You can only get a social security number if you are a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (green card holder) or have a valid work visa. California won't consider an application without either a valid SSN or ITIN.
