I spent a good portion of my nclex study time looking for decent Nclex review courses, and its a daunting task. I know everyone has their own style of study, and course preferences, so I just want to add my recommendation for Nursity.com as I truly believe it is the reason I am an RN today.
Took the NCLEX in July. I had put 6 hours of quarters in the parking meter and fully expected to use them all - - but the exam shutdown at 75! I found out today that I am an RN! There is No Way I'm passing that exam ....especially not in 75 questions....without the course at Nursity.com No Way! It was one of the most comprehensive, organized and engaging courses I've taken. And I was one of "those" who took one of those 5-day in-class $$$$ NCLEX review courses! (Waste of time and money!) The founder/creator/owner was one of the nicest guys - - answering my email questions, and providing support along the way. I don't recommend many things - - - but I signed up today because I was So impressed with the level of confidence and competency I felt immediately after starting his course.
So that's my 2 cents for the day. I hope it will help someone as much as it help me!

I watched a couple of his YouTubes the day before my exam and found myself wishing that I'd found his videos sooner! He seems really awesome. I'm glad you found something that worked so well for you!! Congratulations, nurse :)

Laura,
How many times have you taken the NCLEX? The reason why I am asking because I noticed students that just graduate from school and take a refresher course pass. I graduate a year ago and took the 5 days refresher course and did not pass. My question to will you recommend this course to someone that graduate a year ago and failed NCLEX?
Hi Determine2bodone,
I've only taken the Nclex one time. I hesitate to recommend anything, because everyone will have a different experience depending upon their learning style. Also, the fact that you've been out of the loop for a year adds a whole other layer to the puzzle. That being said - - I still really found this course extremely helpful for me in helping me get a handle on the basics and preparing me for the test process. Check out a few of his free videos on YouTube to decide if you think it might help. I felt 10 times more confident after the first lessons. Depending on the amount of time you have before you take the Nclex again, you can listen to the Mp3's and review the workbook over and over again. (you buy it once, but then you have it for ever). Again, the fact that you've been out for a while, probably won't make things easy.... but out of all the stuff I did to prepare for the test (including a 5-day refresher course, and SEVERAL practice test question apps) this was the only thing that made me feel confident going into the test and during the testing process.
Whatever you do, I wish you luck on your next round!
Thank you very much, SeattleRS24!!!
