I recently accepted a position that will require a two hour commute to work. Im two years out of school and still have a lot to learn. Ive been listening to books on tape (CD) during my commute and would like to look into educational books on tape having to do with nursing. Id be interested in anything whether its review from A&P or new info to learn. Im an ER nurse and could always use more education....Im having a hard time finding what Im looking for....any suggestions?

Try any podcasts by Dr. C from St. Scholastica ... http://faculty.css.edu/gcizadlo/advphysiology/index.htm
I also like listening to the CEN audio review stuff from Med Ed (Jeff Solheim).

I listen to the top prescribed meds Podcasts from Itunes as well as the Spanish for medical people (or something like that).

(new nursing student here, but...)
I second the podcasts by Dr. Gerald Cizadlo
calming voice, great teacher
good for driving and while falling asleep
(though not simultaneously!)
I also like ERcast with Rob Ormam, MD
funny, smart, interesting ER related topics
voice kind of reminds me of Ira Glass
which if you don't know ...
This American Life
not nursing related,
but wonderful!
entertaining and quite thought provoking!

If you have such a long commute as you do, I would recommend subscribing to SiriusXm satellite radio. They have a multitude of great stations including one called "Doctor Radio" that has great medical listener programming.
