Edison State College 2014

Hello! Is anyone applying for Edison(Lee campus) for fall of next year? I plan on applying in the spring for the evening program. I'm also in the process of finishing my last pre reqs and studying for the Hesi. I know the evening program is about 5 semesters but does anyone know if its shorter when all pre reqs are completed? So far I've gotten all A's in them. Thanks in advance

That's great. No I haven't decided yet.

I love the evening program! Everyone is so nice and laid back, and even though the content can be hard at times, I find it easier than some of the classes I've taken to get to this point. I'm sure it will progressively get harder, but the pace is good right now. The professors are all great.

@sarahamelia

Have you applied? I'm new to this. I read a few comments here and there. I was looking into enrolling at Edison just a bit scared lol

How's the nursing program at Edison? I have my AS in medical assisting and currently work as an MA. I was looking into enrolling into Edison. Does anyone here knows what I would need to do besides my pre reqs before applying for the nursing program?

I won't lie it's very involved. There's no room for procrastination or slacking off. Besides the pre reqs and Hesi I don't think that you need to do anything else. Keep your grades up and try to score high on the Hesi. Good luck!

Hey, I will be taking the HESI exam next year. Can you please send me the study guide for science portion. Please.....

I agree with futurenurseB88

Just buy the official study guide by eliviser. It helps a lot

Hey everyone! I'm applying from pittsburgh where I got accepted into one of their best schools but I want to move to florida. Just want to make sure I'm making the right decision. If any current students or graduates could give me their opinions on the program I'd greatly appreciate it!

Now they call it Transitions program for LPN's, paramedics, and respiratory therapists. Now there is a 5 year timeline to get into the transitions program. Must be accepted into the transitions within 5 years of your graduation date from above mentioned programs (with a license to practice also) otherwise they will have to start at entry level. But there is still the option to bridge if you meet those qualifications. Transitions are required to take ENC1101, A&PI, A&PII, STATS or MAC1105. I'm hearing that statistics will be a pre-requisite for the program by next fall in 2016. Not sure if that'll happen or not though...and there is no longer an evening program for lpns, paramedics etc...
