Hello! Is anyone applying for Edison(Lee campus) for fall of next year? I plan on applying in the spring for the evening program. I'm also in the process of finishing my last pre reqs and studying for the Hesi. I know the evening program is about 5 semesters but does anyone know if its shorter when all pre reqs are completed? So far I've gotten all A's in them. Thanks in advance
I got purple. They have many cute colors and styles. Some fit better than others. I was there for 1 hour trying on stuff. I didn't get my books yet. How much did they all end up costing? Did you get them online or from the Collier bookstore? I signed up for my classes the day they changed our major, lol. I was so excited! Btw, what hospital are you doing your clinicals at?
aww purple is cute! I'm sure I will be there long too. I bought all my books on amazon(i compared the priced to the book store, chegg, and another textbook service online) amazon had the best price. I decided to purchase then rather then rent them because Im the type of person who need to highlight and make notes in my books as a study method lol. I ordered all four books plus the one recommended book and my total was about $219 which isn't bad at all when you see how thick and big these books are. I am doing my clinicals at NCH=] What about you?

Aaww, we won't be doing our clinicals together, I'm doing mine at north collier hospital (NCO). It's closer to where I live so that's why I picked that. Thanks for the info on the books, I'll look into amazon too. Btw, did you get your CPR card in the mail? I didn't get mine yet and I just wanted to make sure it didn't get lost, lol.
No, they send it to get embroidered. Only three items get embroidered, the lab coat, the polo shirt and the white top for the hospital clinical. The scrubs for on campus labs don't get embroidered and they have to be a solid color, no patterns or prints on it. You can purchase those and take them home with you that day. They will call you when the rest come back from embroidery. They still haven't called me yet and I was there two weeks ago. I guess it takes them a little while.
I'm glad I check this forum. I didn't know that we had to wear scrubs in the lab. I thought that we wore the polos for classes and labs and the white scrubs/lab coat during clinicals. I'm going to the uniform store today after work to check everything out. Can we wear any color scrubs as long as it's embroidered? Sorry if I'm being a pest

I'm not sure about Lee and Charlotte, but at Collier it said in our acceptance packet that we wear scrubs for the lab classes. Btw, those don't get embroidered. The polo shirts we use when we go pick up client assignments( that's what it said in our letter) I went to the campus to speak to one of the professors because I had the same question about the color choices. I was told that as long as it's a solid color and nothing to crazy like hot pink then it's ok.

I just ordered mine, I can't wait to get them. Why six? Did you get the drug guide as well? I'm going to wait on that to see what the professor recommends.

yes, I looked at the bookstore to see what drug guide they were selling on campus, and I just purchased one of those through amazon. I got my scrubs yesterday, we didn't have to get them embroidered right? just the uniform, polo, and lab coat?

Tha's right Kathe, we only had to get embroidered the polo, the white top and the lab coat. What color scrubs did you get? Did they tell you about how long it will take for the embroidery because I'm still waiting and it's been two weeks.

I got a raspberry color, like if maroon and purple had a baby thats the color it would be lol. She said about two weeks, I know she was calling a few people when i was there letting them know theirs was ready so i'm sure you'll get a call sooner than later =]
Hi Everyone and Nursing Students Already in the Program.
I am applying for Spring 2015 Nursing Program at Collier. Originally it was Fall 2014 but I couldnt do that. I am going to submit my application soon and early. Is 94 Points good enough for the application. I am also applying for FGCu but I dont think I want to go there. For those of you that did this, is a 94 good enough? I know more schools are doing nursing now though. The 6 points is from A&P II and Microbiology which I will be taking in fall, which I dont think will count. And are the application fees now waived?
Thanks
