Hey there, anyone here go to Edison in Ft. Myers or graduated from there nursing program? I am looking to apply for Fall 09! Thanks, Michelle

i am in the evening program now. I started fall 07. there were I believe there werew about 100 applicants and 48 open seats. I had 90 pts. I had all my non nursing classes completed , which gives you more pts. I don't know what the cut off was last year. Hope this helps. Good luck to ya! Let us know how you do.

How long did you have to wait from the application date to when you found out you were accepted to the evening program? I just applied and would like to get an estimate on how long I have to chew my nails to the quick!

i took prof. nemr. for a&p ii he has a little bit of an accent but he will repeat things as often as you need. if you go to class and pay attention it is not bad at all. that was the only classi had to take after i got into the program. i took it my first semester because that is the only semester without clinicals. if you need the book let me know i will sell you mine cheap.

I think we knew about the middle of July. I am not sure if they will do it this year but they will call you too, to make sure you want to accept. Our class is planning the new nursing student orientation for Aug 12th or 13th. That's when you will get a lot of info and we will provide some food, and have a question/answer mingling with the second year students. I hope you get in :D

I had 94 points when I applied and had all my general classes completed.

For A&P II (and A&P I) I had Prof. Machinni and loved her!! She is Russian and has an accent but after a week or so you get used to it.

I'd stay away from Prof. Liftig I've heard a LOT of complaints about him. I have also heard a lot of negativity about Prof. Black as well.

The 94 points was to get into the nursing program. You get more points for having all your general ed classes completed and such and points for GPA and all that. They told us at that time which was almost 2 yrs ago anyone with more than 70 points would get in on the first try. I'm not sure if it's still that way. They also back then didn't require the ACT either but now they do and that effects your points now too.
