Edinboro Innovative Fall 2014

Just got accepted to Edinboro's Innovative program for Fall 2014 in Pennsylvania! Had my Skype interview January 16th. Anyone accepted or waiting for admission? Note: Don't lose hope! My GPA is horrible and my pre-req GPA is even worse but I got in! Show that you have passion in your interview!!

Hey everyone. I just found out about the requirements for Edinboro. I really want to apply because it fits into my prereqs but i am unsure if i should being that it is over 7 hours away from "home". I'm originally from CT (all my family is there) but I been going to school in Long Island, NY and currently working in New York. I have never been to Penn besides a little weekend vacation when i was a child so i have barely any background about Penn. and only one relative around Philadelphia area. Do you guys have any suggestions? And to the ladies from Long Island - how did u find the experience of moving to Edinboro to be??

Tiandra, I have just looked into this program too and considering it as well. I am in the same exact boat as you, I currently live in NY, family in the city, and have family close to Philly. However, this school is almost 7 hours from my Philly family and almost 8 from my NY family. However, I am going to give it a shot. Im interested in the Fall 2015 matriculation, have you found an application deadline?

Wow a lot of New Yorker! That's nice I am also interested in the fall 2015 but I haven't found any deadlines. Honestly their website is hard to navigate but I will try looking again today. Let me know if you find anything pls.

Btw: Have you applied to any schools in NY? I haven't had any luck and LIU never made a decision on my application.

I applied to Stony Brooks Summer Cohort, and kind of nervous about Edinboro since I have yet to read anything good about the program. Then the site lacks information about the programs deadline and tuition cost.It just seems like the school is a little unorganized and sketchy. I will call tomorrow and see what the schools says. I will let you know.

I totally forgot to do stony brook! I been applying since last year and forgot I can still apply for stony brook this year (last year I missed the deadline). Thanks. You do have a point I felt it was odd that they make it hard to find information on their website. Keep me updated I really appreciate it. And best of wishes on you search!

I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I called today and they sad that there was no deadline. Thought that was kind of weird...I don't know what to do.

Are you looking into accelerated programs or both traditional and accelerated?

The accelerated program for Stony Brook Summer Cohort deadline has passed. The last day was October 9th.

I'm looking into accelerated and yea I noticed I missed the deadline ??. I have such bad luck with this been a year already but I'm just going with the flow. Also thought of generic programs but wanted something quicker.

Drexel is a good school but it is on the expensive side! They also have a lot of requirements to pass a class, and if you don't pass you can lose your spot and have to wait until the following year to retake the class. I looked at the school when I was first interested in going there for the two year program! Good luck!

Thanks. I got accepted to Drexel for the spring but they didn't take all my prereqs so now I have to wait until fall 2015. I think most programs you lose your spot once you fail and you have to wait until the next round. That's how it was in the generic program at my undergrad school.

There's a facebook group for previous, current, and future students of this program, a great place to get answers and advice from people either going through the process with you, going through it now, or have already graduated.
