I haven't posted here before..so it's nice to meet all of you =)
I was curious as to whether or not anyone here has gone to ECPI/MCI for their 12 month LPN program. I live in Manassas, VA so I go to their Manassas campus - however the ECPI's in Norfolk and VA Beach have programs as well. My reason for asking is that my class is the first LPN class (to start and graduate in December) for the Manassas campus..and we (my class) has had several issues with the way the school has been ran. I was just wanting to know if anyone had gone to this school, and if so - did you ever have any problems with staff, ways of teaching, rules, etc?? Thanks
The cc program for lpn is only three semesters, fall, spring and summer... yes they make you go summer semester but it is a shorter semester. So the program is about a year. There is no waiting list for the LPN program but they only take 30 people each time but I got in on the first try and if I can do it, anyon can!!! The RN program is harder to get into only because there are more people trying to get in. It just depends on your gpa and your kaplan test scores. I have friends at ECPI lpn program who are really struggling with it. Like I said you get NO free time. But I guess it's diferent for everyone...
HELLO...I AM GOING ON SEP 8 FOR AN INFO SESSION. THE LADY TOLD ME THAT THE CLASS STARTS IN NOV.... IS THERE ONE IN OCT ALSO.. EVERYONE SAYS IT IS PRETTY PRICEY AND I A MOM OF SIX KIDS SO I KNOW I WILL RECIEVE SOMETHING TO LESSING THAT PRICE. DO U HAVE AN COURSE OUTLINE OR A SCHEDULE OF UR CLASS YET? ALSO WHAT ENTRANCE EXAM DID U HAVE TO TAKE? SORRY FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS!!:redpinkhe
I started off taking classes towards my LPN at a CC. But wanted a more fast pace school so I could get out in the nursing field. I researched every school, and read every post in reference to a school. Eventually one of my friends attending a school in Richmond told me about RSHT and said she really liked it. My research on the school made me skeptical. But I am now 10 weeks into my LPN program and love it. RSHT down on Williowlawn has a bad reputation in the past. But there are all new management in there, and as long as your in there for the right reason to learn and get your nursing degree your fine. You will get a good education, the teachers are willing to help, and just because there are a few bad apples it doesn't mean it will affect you. The price is very decent compared to MCI. I only have 3 children and will only be walking away with $4,000 in loans. They have another LPN program starting this month. Probably on the 13th. They can work with you to get in quickly.

Did you just graduate high school? How long is the CC program? I went in to enroll because I have friends that go there and they are all happy. :) The waiting list was too long at CC for me so I chose this to get me through quicker.
