Ebola- Quarantine/Quasi quarantine Yes or No?

I will be curious to see how this plays out in developing "quarantine rules"...do we as a nation, go state by state? do we follow the lead of the CDC? what will this mean if in fact she tests positive for Ebola?

You know what...if you're going to volunteer to go to a country that has the deadliest virus on the planet; you should absolutely be quarantined when you get back for 21 days. I would expect that the volunteers would do this willingly and I'm shocked about the response of boo hoo, not me for Christ's sake...how dare you take 21 days of my life to ensure that this virus does not spread!:banghead:

This is deadly and people are crying over 21 days. Don't people get it yet, it's unpredictable and mutating as we speak. Take no chances. I don't know what's happened to people, but it's scary IMO. Symptoms or not, they should be quarantined! It's called common sense.

What's unpredictable is human behavior. Ebola is not really unpredictable. OK it's not at all. It's just like any other disease, you can get it from close contact with an infectious person who is symptomatic. What does "it's mutating as we speak" mean? It's going to make the leap to airborne, then start crawling across the floor, and chasing us into the night? We are all mutating if you want to get nit picky. "Take no chances" must be balanced with civil rights and the ability of society to function. Do you what has killed millions of Americans? Car crashes. If we outlawed cars, there would be no crashes. Take no chances! You should run for office.

I have to tell you, just yesterday I was reading something in the newspaper about Ebola, and I noticed my fingers were smudged with ink. I tell you, I've never been so panicked! What if I had contracted EVD via the newspaper print mutations? How do I KNOW the newspaper carrier (who I always thought was a littlet funny-looking anyway) DOESN'T have Ebola?

I ran directly to the kitchen sink and began scrubbing off that ink with straight bleach. Can't be too careful! And just to be safe, I'm sending this from my disaster-prepared basement: I have enough food and water stored down here for 3+ weeks, and have now called everyone I know to stay at least 200 yards off my property while I remain in quarantine.

My boss has threatened to fire me if I fail to show up for work, but hey....can't be too careful!
