DOS releases their July Visa Bulletin and it indicated the visas for EB3 and other workers are unavailable world wide!
Dale, you mentioned in your other post that they will shutdown the processing of EB3s, I guess your right!
I just dont know the effect of this to schedule A visas...let wait and watch!
I got the below post from a non-schedule A E3 case. I do not know where he got the information.
Let's pray for the non schedule A E3 cases and I believe they need encouragement right now!
"Beginning immediately, "EX" visa numbers may be allocated to Schedule A immigrants and their dependents only; all other immigrants within the Third preference will continue to use the traditional Third preference classification. Note that any Schedule A applicant will first be eligible for a visa number under the traditional Third preference cut-off date. "EX" visa numbers may be allocated to all Third preference Schedule A applicants from all countries, including China, India, and Philippines, only if their priority date is beyond the established Third preference cut-off date or if the Third preference category is "Unavailable". The "EX" category is CURRENT, and will remain Current for the foreseeable future"

Oh! God! this may not be good news.
I still do not totally understand the paragraph you quoted.
How about the foreign-nurses who just begin the visa process... will they get the "EX" or all of us new applicant gonna end up in limbo again.
This is the most ambiguous part.
""EX" visa numbers may be allocated to all Third preference Schedule A applicants from all countries, including China, India, and Philippines, only if their priority date is beyond the established Third preference cut-off date or if the Third preference category is "Unavailable"."
Will "EX" or whatever category of visa number be available for those applications from other countries (non-china, non philipphine, non-india) whose priority date is after the established Third preference cut-off date?
Look at positive side, my unstanding is that currently there is no cut-off date for schedule A. So confusing?
I still don't even know what is the established Third preference cut-off date.
I am concerned about this because I am ready to file the paperwork soon after passing the NCLEX.

Where were you born? Are you from one of the PIC countries?
If not, then you have nothing to worry about. You will not be influenced by this.

As I said on my another post, I am from BKK, Thailand, not one of the PIC country. I hope the Schedule A will be current forever because I am ready to file the paperwork after passing the NCLEX.
Just go ahead and submit...............
Coming from Thailand, there has never been any issue for you. The number of nurses that actually immigrate to the US from there is quite small. A benefit to you. :)
