:rotfl: Can anyone help with an easier way to learn conversions in pharmacology? One friend said she learned how to do this by a rhyme but doesnt remember it. Please help. Thanks so much.

Hi Diana - not sure what you mean by pharm conversions ... do you mean mcg to mg to g - that kind of thing? Easy - you're moving the decimal point 3 places each time. Converting grains to mg -- think of a clock. 60mg = 1 grain, 15mg = 1/4 grain, etc.
Hope this helps?

Can you share your mnemonics for the order of the units with us? I checked at www.medicalmnemonics.com for metric conversion mnemonics, but could not find any.
THANKS!

I was in sales and my managers name was mary Kaye, so it'll probably only work for me but here goes: mary -- Kaye Hugs DUDe Clearly Making --Money
Mary (Mega)
(Space)
Kaye (Kilo)
Hugs (Hecto)
D = next 3, read as DUDe (Deka)
U = (Unit)
D (deci)
Clearly (centi)
Making (Milli)
Money (micro)
